First time playing PR in about a month or two, friend got TB instantly because he played about 5 seconds of music in main without warning because he hit the wrong button (meant to hit TS button). Is this really worth a 3 hour TB? (Not sure exactly how long your TB is but I heard 3).

Is this typical that no warnings are give for something so little? Kind of ruined our night and we had just gotten into the server as well :/

I don't see any warnings in the logs. Make your friend Ban Appeal.

How do you, the admins feel the stability has gone up after removing mapvotes?

Our admin team hasn't been doing map votes since we were admins for PRTA NA and EU. So it's almost hard to remember. But I honestly don't feel it affects stability much, if at all.

The reason we removed them is because we felt we could achieve greater map variety without votes, which I think we have accomplished.

We will most likely be running the WW2 Beta all the way through the third. Come join BASED NA and test with us!

Thanks to the dev team for the opportunity to host!

Reserved slots with special characters are working now. Especially the ones from [R-DEVS] with [Community Friend] badges on our Forum :)

Good Evening,

Ok, either I have become more vocal in my old age or something is in the air with Based. I've always had a good relationship up until lately. It seems, as usual, only with a few admins. I guess it is time to learn which admin is on a power trip so I can shutup when they are there.

I can't quite put my finger on it but it appears that the admin actions are extremely swift lately without any real statement. I'm not saying warn someone three times then bam, they are out, I'm just saying that the actions are more ban heavy than anything as of late.

I guess things will eventually calm down and it may be because of the influx of FCV gamers. I don't know. Tonight though, team/clan stacking was heavy causing 5 rounds in a row to be steamroll. I mean, we had Silent Eagle in hand before the Blufor jets even spawned as in we were in control of the airport. Dragon Fly, the Brits never got past Train Depot even with opfor not rushing it. Marlin was a bit of a struggle but was over well within the hour.

Oh well, it appears I need to take a break from Based for a bit. Maybe it will all work out.

That round of silent eagle, i cant figure out how the russians won. The german team had twice as many kills but some how we won. We actively tried scrambling and balancing, guess it was just one of those nights.

Scrambling never works with clan tags, those clan members must willingly switch to even the odds.

it didn't matter with clan tags. the team that lost have 3 times the winning teams kills.

There has been a pretty sizable influx of griefers and trolls over the last few weeks and it's resulted in a high number of temp bans. Admins have probably gotten a little short with a few people, but everyone is doing their best to maintain the server.

As far as balance goes, we do try our best every day to maintain even teams. We even go as far as switching individual players/SLs/clans. We try to set balanced maps and we run scrambles if we think it will help. Occasionally despite all of this, we will have some imbalanced rounds. It's unfortunate, but it is PR and sometimes it is unavoidable. Anytime this is happening you know how to bring it to our attention (!r), thanks for the feedback.

If you know any individual admins that were abusing their power or any incidents that occurred that need to be reported, please feel free to leave it on our forums or if you don't feel comfortable with that you can always PM me here.

Thanks!

I was kicked and then banned tonight for no reason. I was kicked for unknown reasons when I was trying to ask people to be quiet when I had joined a squad because everyone was local chatting while my squad leader was assigning kits, and then when I tried to rejoin it said I was banned for excessive teamkilling. I haven't played in two days, and I only played one match today on Based NA and I definitely did not TK anyone.

Just to let everyone know.

BASED | Teamwork | NA has been turned off for the past 2ish weeks due to mumble server issues. As soon as its sorted, we will be back to our seeding and gameplay times.
