Re: UAV "tactical system"
Why do you need to have your own UAV view, when you can click on "V" and talk to your commander ?

Re: UAV "tactical system"
It doesn't really make much sense to add another UAV to me. I just don't see it being that useful to a single infantry squad with all the limitations that are put on it, and unless one of the military advisors says otherwise, I don't believe these are being issued on anything like the squad level anyhow. Keep the comm in control, if you need intel that's why SL has a comm talk button.

I think UAV kit is must upgrade to project reality war experience.
Kits are must for artilery/mortar squad. As we see in Ukraine that's what goes on all the time.
IT can be limited like sniper kit. If you lose it wait time can be longer.

If PR would use outerra world engine with 1:1 realistic maps. It would be good idea. But the problem is that even the commander uav is too much for 16km? maps. Nobody can keeps his naughty secrets in pr. Enemy commander always take a peep on you if you firing some mortars or having some sex in the woods.

The major problem is infinite time and insta-relocate. Incase of good teams it's ending in mortarfest for loosing side.

assetruler69: I've seen things you smurfs wouldn't believe. Apaches on the Kashan. I watched burned down tank hulls after the launch of the single TOW. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to give up and respawn.

I think UAV should be able to get shot down.... maybe have it at like 1500 alt.

Re: UAV "tactical system"
I think it must be removed or nerfed with the same reason as we don't have operable howitzer artillery in game. Biggest pr map is 16km^2 and uav gives you capability to observe nearly 1/3 of it due to view distance. It's also decreasing importance of infantry and cas recon missions.
Matty1053 has a point. Visible and vulnerable uav would be better for keeping some secrets. But it must be lower altitude and fov due to small maps.

I don't think you realise why the UAV is the way it is now. People just don't want to go commander. Think finding good SLs is hard nowadays? Try finding a commander.

This guy gets it. It's already insane how effective mortars are in this game. I don't think we need to make them any more powerful than they already are by putting more UAVs into the game.rPoXoTauJIo wrote:The major problem is infinite time and insta-relocate. Re: UAV "tactical system"
Replace the commander UAV with this.
I.e. give the commander a portable UAV.
If he wants to use it he has to be relatively near the front, win-win for everyone.
Or give it to the spotter..

Re: UAV "tactical system"
What about letting a map have an UAV on one lay out, and not on other lay outs?

Re: UAV "tactical system"
Would not it be better to create an item for the official kit being a kind of "IPAD", so the leader of infantry could share the images from the command center UAV. I say only share images, the same could not operate the UAV.
