I often feel somewhat guilty that I don't lead as many 'pub' squads as I used to.

Then I listen to mumble chat spam and remember why I don't do that anymore.
The wine was in and the wit was out!

B2P2 has a valid point on the behavior of some clans and groups. There is no need to mock him or derail the thread.
I remember some common clan tags that people used to wear (myself included :) ) that were meant to show if you are a teamworking player, good at infantry or choppers, etc. It worked out quite well for some time and i saw a lot of people using it. Not really sure why it died out. Maybe start a new initiative like that?

Why would clan members lead INF, or any other type of squad, with pubbers when all you'll get is the Glorious FCV mumble spam you find across all servers nowadays? As Danger said, it isn't much fun to play with complete retards.

It's already bad enough with being an SL these days with every other SL speaking in all squads (something that needs to be removed SOON) at once. Then having x amount of other mic spammers in your squad. This is one of the reasons I don't SL - I don't know how anyone could...

Point is OP is too ignorant to realise this and is most likely in it for glorious monthly shit-thread banter, as are most of us.

Does this guy sound like a person to take initiative? He doesn't have any friends, he'd rather kill himself than join a Teamspeak server, and he's mad at people who have the ability to play with other organized, skilled people. He is working on his masters degree in electromechanical engineering though - hooray!

You attack me personally, I attack you personally. Your rat brain can't even understand Mats directed his comment to the community.

One year ago I was leading full pubbie squads or 50% pubbie squads. After 1 week I wanted to kill myself. There are so many new players unable to learn, listen or think properly. Thats why I only play with my guys, other I know, or normal people who ask for a spot.

Sorry, I would lead squads, but average PR player does not know the damn thing about to play this game. And even when you lead a pub squad - you want to uninstall the game. Clans are the only way to go to get some games going, other wise its pure frustration and waste of time.

Only place where I saw pub squads work was on Tactical Gamer, because people there most of them were from TG and people who joined to play there, knew that you will have good games. Right now, there is not a single server, that can offer such experience playing with pubs.

The community has already bonded and found friends, you haven't. I therefore interpreted Mats' post as being indirectly aimed at you. Yet again you show no interest in taking the matter into your own hands, but still expect people who have been playing together for years to all of a sudden drop their shit to satisfy you, which really just proves my point.

I have no problem with you attacking me personally, although "Your rat brain" doesn't really sting, so I'm not even going to count it as one.

This. After an x amount of rounds people get sick of trying to play with clueless players. I'm not saying it's a good thing, but it's the truth.

Cossack's post explains why some clans and groups behave the way they do.

Give em' a chance, I SL pubbies 90% of the time.

It takes great satisfaction to lead them to victory.

I play with friends from time to time, but don't be afraid to teach a thing or two to the new guys. It will make our community stronger.
CrazyHotMilf: can you release PR 1.0 today cause its my birthday and i want to play it ? because its gonna be very nice and every thing

What you talking about . ???!!!
I enjoying playing in squad with some 8 random people .
Its the best . ( of course you make sure that all 8 people are humans and not trolls )

With a Decent squad lead you can play this game as it meant to be .
with a good Teamwork and Balanced gameplay .
+ You Got to speak with new people every time .
This is almost the only reason i play the game .

I soooo enjoy making jokes and just chatting with some people while we going to objective or waiting for something , sometimes just fooling around .
its Add to the game sooooo .
Its remind me the army its Great .

sometimes when i join some " 1337 teamwork squad " with 50% or more of clan memebrs
the game just boring because they too Serious and get angry easly and taking all the fun out the game .
Spook;2119862']B2P1 join the PRT to get in touch with people from all over the PR community. Alot of clans and units were brought together or grew through out all the campaigns in the past. So if you are searching for people to play with, you should check it out!
This is probably the best advice OP was given in this thread, yet it went completely unnoticed. Great way to get friends in the community and experience level of teamplay that is hard to come by on public servers.

Also
(...)I play assets 80% of the time cause I suck at infantry stuff(...)
Dude, that's probably more often than most of the guys here. And you still complain.

It's annoying for those of us who don't really have time to spend with a clan and just want to play PR once in a while.

Nothing is going to change through complaining though. Banning this behavior is unreasonable and I don't see any better system being suggested either.

I, and probably a lot of others, use the term 'clan' very loosely; it doesn't necessarily mean mandatory sessions and mil-sim tactics that never work, but rather a group of people you enjoy playing with. So if/when you do have time to play PR, you'll play with those instead of smurfs.

I am now convinced we have all been baited. OP is truly a throbbing member or this whole thread is bait.

"I'm not looking for any god damn people to play with"

So crawl back under that rock from whence you came, your attitude is why people kick you from squads. It all makes sense now.

i want you guys to read this if the story interests you. i think it's a good discussion, and i want to add my own experience(s) after 10 years of amazing pr. because this pissed me off and i haven't gone back to this server since.

i've had my own squad kicked from a full server for playing together
not an asset squad, because it matters to some people. an infantry squad, in the back of a troop transport.

mapstart on muttrah- i was driving my guys to mosque for a fast point defense. we were fishing for boats. a block or so away from dismounting, 4 of our group gets transferred to the USMC. they were killed and teamswapped by an admin. i immediately think that the server is crashing. they quickly rejoin and we try to regroup with a rp. it immediately happens again-killed and swapped to USMC. at this point i start catching on. the admin promptly kicked them for changing teams. short story short- we were being divided. all seven (7) of us. three on one side. 4 on MEC.

There is some credit to this thread though. Locking a squad just for your clanmates prevents other players from learning how to become better at things by playing wih good (I assume) players. I've seen a lot of elitist behaviour like kicking a smurf just because he was new to an asset. Then people complain that no one is joining TANK/APC squad. I don't consider myself as good but I always try to help noobs with the basics.

Also if someone is mumble spamming then why not just kick them?

Attention "clans"

Take your tags off, all the elitist fun. None of the evidence.
