new BF2 map crashes, no dump/error message

alright so i'm completely new to map making so i decided to start with the first 2 tutorials.
after these 2 were done i started my level trough BF2 (using battlelog.co 's version) and the moment it hits 15% it crashes. is there anywhere where i can see a dump file why it crashed? cause i'm at a loss.

alright so i got BF2 running in windowed and apparently then i do get an error message

what does this mean? i'm guessing it has to do with a vehicle i placed on the map?

I am pretty sure you are in the wrong place to post this,

Otherwise, it means you haven't watched the tutorial from the beginning to end :)

Third, every DEV or Modders will likely redirect you to links (that you could find by yourself) instead of taking the time to answer your questions.


In conclusion, you will find what you need on already answered past trouble-shooting.

This error is nothing bad, prtty common actuallly

I never had that kind of error before, but I guess you placed that "CH_assault" kit as a static object. Try to remove it from the map.

If you haven't, try to compare the init.con of another map featuring chinese forces and see if you can find any errors, or simply copy the init of another map and change everything inside it that is map specific, like the map name.

Also make sure you have overgrowth created with the overgrowth tool on the map. I don't think this error has anything to do with that but do it anyway just to be sure.

i did indeed place it as a static object removed it and now it works :D , and thank you for that link, im sure that'll help me in the next weeks !

Nice, if you want to spawn kits or vehicles you should do it through the object spawner (have the right layer selected, left click near the flag you want it to be connected to (usually mainbase), then create object spawner) then you can select the objects for both teams in the dropdown menu of the tweakbar. If you are missing stuff in the list, make sure you have the right things checked in the mod manager.
