But if the commander at the start of the round placed a destroy marker in main base, the trans trucks would go kaboom! And everyone would be pooped.

That sound more like an admin issue than something the devs should fix. In the same sense someone could spawn and just mow everyone down with their LMG. Sure it's not as lethal to tickets, but there's tons of ways to grief.

I'm more for increase of tickets. It IS so important to winning some maps. On maps where there's no helis...

However then I think there should be more of them. More tickets = bigger target

I've been a server administrator "Project Reality BR," and I know how difficult it is to manage a server where the focus is teamwork, not individualism (VANILLA), and this problem is the legacy inherited from Battlefield 2. PR needs to migrate to another platform with less limitation.

And I believe that the DEVS need to develop more scripts to force teamwork among the nine squadrons, to automate some administrative rules on the server, in practice rules managed by humans (not automated) do not work as they should, and to allow abuse by some administrators (power corrupts).

I agree with this. I fear that if we make abandoned trucks easier to "retrieve" people will just abandon them more often.

Do a test, increase the cost of tickets and time to be reborn in the base ... it forces the team to return the truck to the base instead of just leaving it in the field, or even compel the players to work as a team, and create a squad to do the work of "truck driver".

I don't even know what you guys are talking about...

And thinking of making this game casual, so all cars will EXPLODE after some minutes not used...
You should stay in classical shooters, because such things would made this game unrealistic

That was the original suggestion made by OP. But the discussion changed to adding an option for the CO to manually destroy abonded vehicles.

Sounds a little optimistic.

Is it at all possible to make a truck appear from anywhere on the map for its team? That is the only realistic solution to this.

It's faster for a freshly spawned infantry squad to walk to the objective rather than waiting on a 15 minute timer for a vehicle to blow up.

Plus there are tactics based on leaving a vehicle as it is to hinder the enemy. I think the team should be punished if they have players who decide to leave vehicles laying around. Don't allow them to automatically blow up.

The CO being able to destroy vehicles would be handy though for those times a tank magically is left sitting outside the map border.

Isn't this already in the PR Mapping guidelines?
Vehicle Decay Timers and Distances

Decay timers are used to destroy empty idle vehicles around the map. If a player has jumped out of a vehicle and walked away, the vehicle will stay around for a period of time and then explode when the timer runs out. The timer will only start if the vehicle has left the Decay distance radius around the spawnpoint of the object.

These values should be:
TimeToLive (Decay Timer): 12000
Distance (Decay Distance): 100m
Maybe it's not implemented in all maps?

It is implemented everywhere where it should be. BTW 12000 seconds = 3.33h.

That is outdated. It should be 99999 with the only exception being temp spawns.

Keep in mind the dichotomy of abandoned vehicles being returned to the fight, especially if out of bounds vs players having the opportunity to retrieve and recover them.

I think 20 minutes would be ok, sometimes that sniper humvee is lost to the team all round.
