The team playing OPFOR is better than BLUFOR. People switch from BLUFOR to OPFOR to go civi. Civis prevent caches from going known, therefore an already better team can make sure their team is consolidated on 1 cache instead of 2. Even small unit tactics state that 2 people are 4 times as effective as 1 person. Think of that on a grander scale.

As an asset whore switching to BLUFOR to do CAS or APCs when the OPFOR team is bad is the exact same. The BLUFOR team will gain the skill and the experience of the asset whore, while the OPFOR team will lose a solid player and will have to endure his wrath the entire round.

While both are game mechanics and could be considered fair play, with a deeper look it is basically stacking the odds and making the round impossible for the other team to win. Team switching for either of those reasons, in my opinion, is the same thing.

Same thing when admins don't want to play as INS and we get a mapvote of Korengal Gaza and Grozny. Those are 3 maps that are very challenging for BLUFOR, so it basically deincentivizes the players of the BLUFOR team from voting for INS, especially if they're bad. I've seen this done rather than a scramble numerous times, to give a solid BLUFOR team more of a challenge.

Giving a bad BLUFOR team Korengal is the same as giving them Karbala ALT, or giving a good BLUFOR team Fallujah or Ramiel. The reason you guys look negatively on INS a lot of the time is because you aren't putting maps into the vote under the right conditions. If the team that's gonna be BLUFOR is bad, either do a scramble, or put up 3 maps that they have a decent chance of winning, or at least getting a couple of the caches.

Not 2 hours later and you guys put up a vote for Fools Road, Dovre Winter, and Hades Peak. Not even a gamemode preceeded it. Its like you HOG admins see people providing feedback and purposes pull shit like this just to piss people off, grow up for god sakes, your supposed to be a clan of adults.

Would it really kill you to once in a while ask OTHER players what they want to play? Ask the public for map suggestions. Try that for a change instead of replying to this comment saying "we tried that but people complained", try something because the game you are playing is getting old

As to the map votes we are going to try to run every map in alphabetical order then an ins /aas vote to follow if needed....

So you think that because i'm part of a different community, That I should have malicious intent towards any and every other community? Literally ask anyone who I've worked with. Im a **** and this is how I address issues.
Haley wrote:They are often the same players, and friends of players, who have been banned from our server and from other servers. Their feedback is nothing more than transparent trolling...Take it for what its worth.
So its never once been a fact of an admin banning someone by mistake ever? I doubt it, even myself one of the most active, experienced and attentive admins at BASED/FCV/BigD has accidentally banned someone once.
Haley wrote:If u are a player who appreciates good game play and a long history of success admining a positive gaming experience then we welcome u to play on HOG. When u read dismissive comments from us it is often a response to the trolling...see above.
Well shit, I fucking love good rounds of PR, but when i generally play. There is little to no admins on who are actually engaging with the player base and making a positive experience. But im from new zealand, so as an east coast server I don't expect that you would have admins on as late as I like to play.
Haley wrote:I would like to thank all of u who play on our server and offer your critique. We strive for improvement everyday. We employ rigorous admin training and aim to be as fair as possible. We do not claim to be perfect but we try our best to treat all serious players equally.
Oh really?

Haley wrote:No matter what we do there will always be critics. If u play PR long enough u will learn who the disruptive players are and can see through their protestations...
I agree, I've met my fair share of terrible trolls in PR who believe they have the right to play on servers I've administrated who I think we would all agree are terrible people who only wish to make PR a terrible experience for all*cough* phagwagon *cough*. But not every person who fucks up in PR is a troll who only wants to see the fucking world burn.
Haley wrote:There are a number of PR players who support their favorite server, which is good. They often like to criticize other servers for their own agenda. Their "feedback" is nothing but trolling so they can advance their agenda.

And Just to hit this one more time. Why yes, there is an agenda behind some of my comments on the administration of HOG comes down to this. As one of the most active north american admins in general I see a lot of trash talking from the player base and I get a lot of flak for being an admin. I would say that 1 in 10 individual instances of all chat warnings comes from a player talking shit on another server.

And while, you may think. That its your server and you have the right to run it how ever the fuck you want. All server admins on all servers will get flak for 1 admins miss step.

So sorry if i get upset and post a question to the ethics of a fellow servers administration. After having seen the broad generalisation that all PR admins are admin abusing sacks of shit/hitler reincarnate.

Please don't do this. Both myself and others I play with often have to wait until the end of the round to switch to our friends because there are no (or no responsive) admins online during late Asia early EU times.

Are you serious dude? You take peoples feedback and go in the complete opposite direction and make your server an even shittier experience. All you are doing right now is making people angry, this benefits NO ONE. Hardcore Older Gamers? LOL, with age comes the inability to reason I guess.

You need to start actually thinking about what you are doing. How are clans supposed to play with each other? Now you have to deal with ghosting accusations, have fun with that. If you want to turn away a lot of long-time, dedicated players from your server you are doing an excellent job that I encourage you to keep up!

Your admins are so abusive and high and mighty on their thrones. Any time somebody ingame questions you guys you start warning and kicking for "all chat". Theres a reason so many people in this thread have such animosity towards the HOG admins but not the server itself.

No just yours. Doing a search of the posts you made here, you are clearly one the players who have an agenda, and just wants to stir up shit.

As you can see Clean and I had a well informed and mature discussion. You on the other hand just pop in often and comment on other players complaints and try to get a rise out of people.

No my complaint was that a member of HOG let a player fly from RU main to the first cap flag for IDF on beruit, waste and asset and kill a squad without so much of a warning. Cherry picking rules, kicking players for calling him on it and then never admitting any wrong doing on these forums.

Totally legit complaint that you call trolling.

I appreciate =HOG= allowing us to play on their server every day. Even though sometimes we are at odds. If i could say anything critical its that the fortress rule on muttrah is very vague and enforced differently from round to round depending on admins. One round i got killed for even walking near fortress without any intent of actually camping the flag. Another round rule is enforced and US arent allowed to attack our mortars on foot. And then just last night im told that the US can attack us if we build mortars. Would be nice if it was cleared up a bit wording wise or just had a set interpretation by all admins. Again thanks for letting us play =HOG= seems to be the only place that has some sanity these days.

The fort rule on Muttrah is posted in our rules section. No US ground troops are allowed into the fort until it has the attack marker on it. If enemy is in fort you can engage them with all assets, mortars, boats, area attack...sorry for the confusion...what often happens is we get a report of ground troops in or near fort shooting into main, mining the ramps or walking to the fort so we kick them.

What? Players want to play every map so here it is. Players want INS and AAS maps....the admins need a way to track the maps....this simplifies the process. No teamswitching prevents stacking...How does it go against what players want?
