Also note this village has about 60-70% of its basic modelisation completed.
There are 2 small other chunks of habitations that are yet to be implemented.

Any chance to get a sneak-peak? The download link wasn't working, at least for me. Seeing this map is 1km x 1km, I am wondering what's the performance with full server.

Looks awesome though! Does taliban really get a little bird?

Sneak-Peek will only be for those ready to give me a hand :D

Also, I want to keep all the cool stuff hidden for when the map will be finished and ready to test.
This way you all get the chance to explore a completely unknown landscape ^^

About performance,
This map is still a little baby, not ready for the performance test.

Just look at this example,

In this little stack of small houses, You imagine it will not be performance heavy.
That is until you see every wall and roof have their own Cull.

This is a problem for now but in a certain future I, or a dedicated community member, will merge all these different static, or even better, make a whole new 3d model optimized for the map.


And for little bird, the dev's have the last words on asset.

Yet I will defend this feature to keep it in the map.
Why would'nt taliban be able to afford 1 or 2 small chopper?
Let's say the Lil' bird have a 20min respawn. or even no respawn.

In a rough landscape like I have in my map, I believe it could be realistic that these arab invest in Air support to carry their food or weaponry through steep mountains. :D

Taliban don't get a pilot kit though, but they do get a crewman :roll:

I can place a Pilot kit on a table setup next to the chopper ;P

This way when u get ur pilot kit, no one can steal ur birdy!

Otherwise im not very aware of the coding required.. Probably someone will help me at this stage

He was banned, unbanned, and now banned even though he only posted here since the unban.

I'm pretty convinced now that this forum is dead, its been dead for years. And every member but me are just DEVs playing tricks on each other.

Remember you can't see everything we can see (ie closed or unapproved threads).
He made 6 accounts, repeatedly trolled/mocked or insulted members/devs and in general just became tiresome to keep in line. He was given 3 chances, he used them all. That hardly means the forums are dead.

yeah, but it appered to be a bad map, like Korengal Valley can be some times, and what Charlies point is every time, its just a big geographical disadvantage to americans...

If it was a 2km, montain map, but w/ a better DOD, would probably work better
