Id like to play pr on a Notebook

I got the same thing, and it works great too. Though I reinstalled Windows because of the bundleware stuff.

Tip: Always keep your laptop charged, because a low battery will make games and applications slow. On an SSD it's faster but still a little slow.

Really? Is that some automatic powersave feature as I wouldn't have thought that any kind of drop in voltage would explain it.

It should just be powersave. My laptop has no such feature and I can play on high settings until the battery completely runs out if I wish.

I usually just keep it plugged in with the battery out though; plugged in with the battery kills the battery I hear.

If you're going to be working exclusively on AC power for a week or more, remove the battery first.
Otherwise, you'll be wearing out the battery--constantly charging and discharging it--at a time when you don't need to use it at all. You're also heating it up (see "Keep It Cool," above).

Use your battery to keep it fresh. Don't keep your computer plugged in all the time. It's a good idea to discharge and then recharge your laptop battery about once a month. Also, you should let your battery run down before you recharge it.

Likewise, keep my laptop in mains without battery inserted, keeps it "fresh". But obvious performance issues when on battery (old laptop).

Yeah If you dont remove the battery it will die within 1 year. Had that Problem with my old Acer, customer Service told me it happened because i didnt remove it which caused in a total failure of the battery. Running at 100%when ac is plugged in constantly causes dmg to it

I just changed my MSI battery after 6 or 7 years of being plugged in, I hadn't thought the charge regulation could be so bad as to damage a battery - I am an electrician.

From the code I think it was a Sanyo.

Unfortunately, gaming laptops as far as I know are mostly non-removable which is a bummer

Are they? that's shit - mine has an exchangeable GPU, CPU and battery, it was even sold as a barebones laptop in the US. I didn't realist this when I bought but very happy it was.

This shop is thought off on forums as the most knowledgeable about MSI maybe other makes too, they even have some upgrade GPUs for sale. You have to watch the manufacturer VBIOSs though.

Very useful that they haveassembly guidesfor MSI and Asus for seeing how easy they are too clean.
