Just saw an entire squad banned from the server without warning for naming themselves "ISIS" in a skirmish match. While I realize that it is a sensitive topic, it's something that's somewhat playful in this community and I don't believe it warrants that sort of response. In addition, it doesn't seem to be in your rules at all that even joining a squad with a potentially offensive name is a bannable offense.

Its common sense. The New server does not have any rules in that regard either, but im pretty sure you will get same reaction if you come on the server with a player name of Adolf Eichmann or call your sqd Zyclon B

The NEW server has legal requirements about not allowing any Nazi shit on their servers. All German hosted servers can be shut down for anything if its found to have anything connected to Nazi's on it.

How ever, being in a squad and getting banned for something out of your control is quite clearly stupid.

Joining a squad named "isis" not out of controll. And dont go personal pls. Terms like "quite clearly stupid" is one of the reasons threads are getting locked over here.

So you've never had to join a squad because all others were full or locked? And yes, this is stupid.

It was a skirmish round. 30vs30 and there were only 6 squads at the time. I would not have responded otherwise.
And yes, this is stupid.

Wrong.

Read the actual law.

Respect all players and play as a team.

They are disrespectful by doing that, enough said. BTW ffg, dont you get all bent out of shape when we comment on your threads, and i forgot, who are you with this week?

The problem lies in the fact that the line between disrespectful and not is unclear and varies wildly from person to person. That same exact round there was a full squad named "Islamic State" that was left untouched. Was that somehow okay, or did the admins just overlook it - I have no idea, and the inconsistent application of the rules just makes everything more confusing for the playerbase.

Should I avoid joining a squad called "Mortards" because it makes light of the mentally disabled? How about "Trans-sexuals"? I could easily go on with common squad names that could be seen as disrespectful, and I'd rather not get banned out of the blue because the admin decided to enforce that rule.

We obviously are doing it right, you cry babies should play elsewhere, you want ten thousand rules and you want them your way, not gonna happen. This server is the longest running server in pr that is populated 24/7, we are obviously doing something right. Just go away if you dont like it, not gonna change, our rules, policies and admins are just fine.

Object? That is your right, so PLAY ON ANOTHER SERVER, IT IS WHY THERE IS MORE THAN ONE.

I currently live on a liberal college campus, and I see more petty hurt feelings in Project Reality over nonsense than your typical "safe space"

And defending all of your rules because your server is popular doesn't mean your'e doing something right.

"React videos on Youtube are popular therefore they are right and everyone should do them"

Your server is doing something right, sure, but everyone here knows that naming a squad "ISIS" as an obvious joke does not support its actions. It's a stupid ban.
CrazyHotMilf: can you release PR 1.0 today cause its my birthday and i want to play it ? because its gonna be very nice and every thing

like they said, leave or don't bother joining the server if you don't like it....

bitching and whining wont help....

been playing on this server for 9 and half month and i never had any issue with it.... ?

why ? because i follow the Rules and im not a **** or a kid cry and try to justify the Rules on the admins...

im not disrespecting any one around here, but that's Truth and i want this server to stay clean (not just ISIS squad)

Locking this thread would be better... you have an issue or need to suggest something for HOG.. well do it on their Forums...

I think what everyone is trying to say is that it is totally fine to not allow "ISIS" or similar squads. Solely the reaction was uncalled for. A ban seems bit harsh for this, but i cannot say if there really was no warning involved and/or those were repeating offenders. Personally i think a resign or kick would have been enough.
Anyway, no need to discuss this any further, as nothing new will be added to the discussion anyways.
