Chinese support?

Post by PLODDITHANLEY »

Do you think we need some Chinese support and donate button as the quantity of Chinese players is sometimes more than anyone else?

Sorry, had to :p

Ye its nice to see we have a growing Chinese community playing PR, although quite hard to communicate with them etc, don't think many of them use these forums etc.

Is this a suggestion - I don't think so but feels like it.

I wonder about a Chinese section in forums and as much Chinese translated a possible, anyone beat Google translates awful illegible trys?

Silly jolly still comes here every now and again.

They're even on coop and test airfield too - I think an east west battle is needed.

There are at least two main Chinese Project Reality forums  , held by the two clans as your screenshot shows.

It's true that very few Chinese players access to this forum, because of language barrier, and that many problems can be solved on Chinese forum more efficiently. Myself only sometimes log on to the General Discussion section but is keeping focus on the News, Highlights and Changelogs section. And I promise all important information and news are translated to the Chinese forum within days (by me and my translation group).

About the donation. I believe that many Chinese players would willing to donate a little of their savings, but there are two problems as far as I concern, the first one is the method of payment: only a few Chinese players have a mastercard or so which can allow oversea transactions. And the second problem is that only few players know this donation.

If Chinese donations are really needed, I have a few suggestions (may be not well-rounded enough). Appoint one Chinese player (such as Silly Jolly) as the representative of official and Chinese players can transact donations to him through Chinese ways (Alipay, WeChat, etc.), and he can donate the money through the official donation bottom. In the meantime, threads can be posted on Chinese forums to explain the donations and tell them they can transact the donations to this representative.

BTW. About east-west matches, we would love to have battle with foreign players but the problems of time difference (last time the official invited us to the tournaments, the tournament started at 3 a.m. China time...) and lagging have to be solved... We played with Australians and Japanese three months ago and we are rekt by ping (though China won)...

I can't put my finger on it, but I really like seeing the chinese PR community grow the way it does at the moment <3. It's probably because most of us can hardly understand each other, but playing and loving the same game overcomes this a bit. Probably just me, though :P

I would love a China vs. EU battle!!! Shijia Valley. Let's Go :D
Just checked my ping on your servers. -> 200
That's manageable ;)

Maybe if there is a server in like mid Russia both sides can play with a ping in the 100s.

Well I'm worried about donations the last two months I don't think it reached half - this month a big fat 0.

No money no Master server no PR.

I think what Ploddit and others are asking for is a translation of the forums to Chinese? To maybe try to encourage donations from the Chinese part of the PR community?

If this is it im for it if it can be done easily. Although not too sure how much donations will actually come out of this.

Hi there, I'm one of the leader of =SAGA=Clan, one of the oldest Chinese clan. It's true that not many Chinese players visit the official forum, but we are always willing to have friendly matches with foreign clans. If u can have anyway managing to form up a europe team, we are always ready for a match :D

Since I dont visit this website very much, i will just leave my email address here and welcome to contact me by sending me an email: [email protected]

Well you can contact me through this forum's private message as well. We are from the same plan so contacting either is the same.
