Tips for CAS?

Post by MRaza »

I'm a decent pilot not a noob but definitely not at danesh level yet. I spend a lot of time practicing in single-player but I don't seem to be getting any better. I rarely get any flight time in online servers, too many people racing for a couple of seats. Can any experienced pilots help me out? I use a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro.

P.S. I tried downloading test airfield from this page:

https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f354-community-maps/100848-map-test-airfield-4km-released.html

but the download link doesn't work for me, i get an error telling me that "realitymodfiles.com redirected you too many times"

try to join a training server that use the in game maps like kashan,Bijar,Khamisiyah....

try to land and take off in those Run ways's that's how i learned to land and easy take off

also try to join cas squads and take the spotter kit and help them out lazing, while at the same time listen to
them and see what they do or say when they engage jets or get in dog fights....

also try to bind the number 8 key camera to one of the keys on your joystick.. that way you can spot better and see better in the air...

hope this helped you out and i'll cya on the battlefield !

LOL :D

The best thing you can do is call one friend and join in one Test_airfield server. I learned 80% on this map. And if you got 5 friends, you will experiments some AA redirects! :D
I only know that I know nothing. Só sei que nada sei. Sólo sé que no sé nada. So solo di non sapere nulla. Tantum scio me nihil scire. Je sais seulement que je ne sais rien. Tiedän vain, etten tiedä mitään. Ich weiss nur dass ich nichts weiss. Ek weet net dat ek niks weet nie. Wiem tylko, ?e nic nie wiem. Heoi ko ahau anake e mohio ana kahore au e mohio. Ngiyazi kuphela ukuthi angazi lutho.

1. get spotter or be chav, viewdistance seems to vary for him
2. bomb stuff beyond view distance

The most important thing is to try. Yes, you will fail. But that's the only way to see what you need to improve. If you feel like you can fly then join a CAS squad as a gunner first to see what the other pilot does. Or even as a spotter as other people said.
