toggle iron sights/scope?

Hey All,

I am finally back after being away a loong, long time. I Started playing this in 2007-ish (!).

Trying to get back into it by playing some local bot games.

My question is I seem to not be able to toggle from iron sights to scope and back. it seems to happen randomly (say, with the SAW or similar).

I would rather just have the scope all the time. What am I pressing (wrong)? I read somewhere about BUIS and a toggle selector switch and can see a "B" lower right hand corner but what am I doing wrong?

Also, how is the state of this game? still a lot of servers running? I need to invest in a mic, What is the recommended Mic to use? I already have a nice headset I'd rather not part with.

If a weapon has BUIS, you'll see a small "S" or "B" in the bottom right corner. Press "C" to switch between them.

Regarding mics, I have a cheap *** thing, always had cheap mics (only a couple of bucks), they work fine .

Nowadays use a cheap *** headset. No brand, but sound and mic are amazing.

Hey dune is their anyway to program backupsights to double right click? I tried macros and scripts but it dont work on my end.

But I accidentally found a way to fix this. Very simple. People say it's C key but I set crouch on C so it doesn't work for me, so pressing O key on my keyboard switches between iron and scope sights. This also works for vehicles and static too. X and O, O works only on weapons. I don't know what I've done to settings but that one works for me that way. Worth trying.

Maybe devs updated this in patch and forgot to add to old manual

Sorry for the necro but I can't help but notice you didn't get straight answer.
In the bf2 control directory, the buis sight key is reflected off of the 'cycle camera' key bind which is default C.
Like you, I have my crouch on C, and for easy access I put my buis on ctrl.
