From Coop to Deployment.
So, I've been playing the game for a good 2 weeks now. Mostly on Cooo though (Cause everyone is so friendly there.) I did play a bit on Deploymen, but not as much as on Coop. Thinking of switching over, any tips and changes to expect when making the move from Coop to Deployment?

Communicate! Listen and talk yourself to your squad and teammembers. And generally I think it's much slower gameplay coming from COOP. And server rules are different usually so pay attention to that

I already communicate with everyone on Coop, becaue I often get forced into being SL, so communication is a must.[R-DEV]Mineral wrote:Communicate! I had a hunch that the gameplay would be slower then Coop, I mean you are playing with real people and that means real tactics too.
Anyways, thanks for the tips!

Make sure you mention you're new when joining a squad. Makes it easier for both yourself and the SL.

I'm not necessarily new to this game. Playing lot's of Coop on my freetime and studying the manual and searching for variuos tips while not on a PC. I suppose I should mention that I'm new to Deployment games.iglotruck wrote:Make sure you mention you're new when joining a squad. Makes it easier for both yourself and the SL.
Anyways thanks a lot for the basic, but important tip.

You will have much more pressure on your shoulders when carrying important roles.Tomce795 wrote:I'm not necessarily new to this game. When I say important, I mean when you're the sole lifeline for that squad.
(example, rifleman anti-tank VS an oncoming APC | on a TOW when theres a tank coming)
If you don't ever feel confident, don't feel afraid to step down and tell your squadleader, usually there will be a couple of green players and a couple of black players.
It should already be assumed but noted that important roles usually do not include:
sniper, marksman, occassionally anti-air/anti-tank, combat engineer, etc.
listen to your NCO/cpt and he will tell you what to do(assuming you're in a good squad)

I can see why. Since you can't spawn on the squad leader or on Objectives like in Coop and can only spawn in the main base or on a FOB, important kits (like medics, ATs and all that good stuff.) really need to try and stay alive or they will have to run 15 minutes to get back to the squad.QuickLoad wrote:You will have much more pressure on your shoulders when carrying important roles.

I'll keep that in mind when playing deployment. Thanks a bunch.

Re: From Coop to Deployment.
one thing that you can and should do is have initiative... even if this means to move on front of your squad...
Sometimes when I do that (moving in front of my squad) I escape a death for something that I would not see otherwise, but other times I just Die, but while you do that always be aware of your surroundings, so don't get cought out of place and you can get a good intel for your squad...
But if you are going to do that go up to 100m ahead at "Max", as after that your Squad leader can complain w/ reason and you can return if he start to doing that
Also do that only if you are w/ a Rifleman Kit or something nitch... never do that w/ something like LAT or AR

Really? Then what's the minimum game time required to not be called new? Because truth be told I end up being SL a lot, and once I commanded a whopping 3 squads to victory in one game.iglotruck wrote:You are if you've been playing for two weeks.

EDIT: Actually let me correct myself and plunge my past self into hell, because or his stupidity. I'm playing a game for 2 weeks and I barely scratched the surface of it. I just keep playing as Infantry. I'm ganna wanna try to play as a tank or APC. And I ain't even try flying CAS or Trans, cause some peoe can do fricking flips in choppers and I ain't going there.

I usually don't end up going first, because of my preferrance to take the medic kit. But I will keep in mind that scoiting forward is good. Might just pick a Rifleman kit just for that.Gerfand wrote:one thing that you can and should do is have initiative... even if this means to move on front of your squad...
