players and admins

Post by pepe »

I was on a really crappy team and i had a cas squad, i had 4 people, 2 left, me and 1 other guy.
I took down one of the enemy jets with a FROGFOOT, and then the squad member told me to kill him because he doesn't want 1 death count, i refused many times but he just spammed me, and i said ok, asked if there's AA/ something, he said nothing there, i got shot down by AA
I kicked him, then 1 other guy kept trying to join, i said NO, because his microphone WAS REALLY BAD, and nobody wanted to join CAS. I locked the squad alone, i can't let bad people who can't do anything join, then admin warned me and all players were insulting me for locking the squad. then i opened the squad again and the guy with bad microphone and the one who lied me joined and crashed 2 jets at take off.
at the end of the round everyone was yelling at me "YOU'RE SHIT BLA BLA WORST CAS"
what's my fault?

And i kicked more people who hard could speak english and they were giving me questions about CAS, how to do it, etc, i can't let people like those in my squad, i cant trust them, better 1 decent pilot like me, than 3 more bad pilots who will probably crash the jet at take off.

Doesn't matter what server your on, the PR player base is I hate to say this but garbage. There's some good players sprinkled in there, but we seems to have mic spamming trolls running amuk.

People who don't pipe down when your in combat. Also lot's of mic-less players that think being a SL is somehow a good idea? Then we have the people who refuse to work together, and just insult other players trying to work things out. Last but not least we have the COD kiddies.

Our player base has lost all unity, and is full of the lowest common denominators all the while we lost most of our leadership players. I really love PR, but every game I get into makes me want to uninstall lately.

You guys are depressing me, I'm looking forward to playing PR in Europe again after a few years playing on coop down under.

It can't be as bad as I get the impression from the forums?

It's not that bad, just be careful on which server your on. Generally European servers are more teamwork oriented.

Well:

the guy want that you kill him: you choice, if he stay asking, report him for being annoying/ mic spawn, and if you want kick him from your squad
If he does not have mic, unless if its FCV, BASED or something that you get backed by server rules, you can still kick him
also if they crash on takeoff, you can report then, as Jets are very value assets in PR
and if they are insulting you about the locking, well, ignore it, but if the admin ask you for opening the squad, you can do that, and you still can kick anyone for being annoying

Also for the guy that lied to you, he did not lied, he just did not saw the AA or something, you can't take any Info as 100% accurate, as it can be outdated, or like I sad before, he did not got the info... one good thing to do is get someone that has a good eyes to stay giving you info.

nnope nope nope

As an european player I prefer US timezone way more mainly because the Squad leads work with eachother more actively and communicate with the whole squad way effectively whereas most european players have some sort of language barrier which makes them more hesitant to communicate whatever issues are at hand, plus as a SL you have to focus on 2-4 different channels and most EU SLs simply can't comprehend all that.

Second thing which makes my shit tickle is the sense of entitlement of some EU players that I rarely get out of US players, even the biggest asset whores. Especially many, not all Finnish players that would love to brag about their 7-9 years of playing PR. And trust me I know some Finns (as an Estonian that works there). In general I feel like their teamwork is strictly limited to their squad only.
In general as squad leaders they will only communicate with other squad leaders when they really have to, and will ignore requests to share their objectives (or simply they don't hear or understand when you'll ask them even the 3rd time because of what I mentioned before), won't respond to commander etc.

Whereas the US players are way more communicative therefore more teamwork can be arranged, have a balance of taking it seriously and having fun and for the most part don't assume you're limited to 6 months of playing PR.

TL;DR I have way more fun playing with US/UK players on US servers (=HOG= mixed, Based NA).
Although i had a rant here about =HOG=, really it was strictly limited to an EU admin.

Funny how I don't play on FCV and still get the same experience, but shit it must be FCV's fault.

I play mainly on FCV, but the little time I play on HOG I feel that I would get more teamwork if I was in FCV... and I know that is not a which server is better, is just a matter of w/ who you are playing and how is he teamwork skills that day, I mean yesterday I played on FCV and my team got wrecked by lack of teamwork, including my squad, which the SQL is not a bad one.

Exactly  I often have to mute Mumble on US servers so I can hear enemies
