I'm a fairly new player to PR, and I've mostly learned the ropes as far as infantry gameplay goes.

I am familiar with military operations. Small unit infantry tactics and the like. Operational strategy I've also learned a lot of. Not just US and Western but Soviet-rooted doctrine as well.

Also been involved with clans and stuff in other games in upper level command.

I'm fairly active. I play around three times a week for around 2-3 hours per session.

Hey Prancer, you should check out the official Project Reality Tournament!

It's a campaign where two teams fight each other every other weekend over the course of a couple months. There's a bunch of veteran players that join, a bunch of semi-experienced players, and a bunch of new players ready to learn how to play the game right. If that last category is you, then you should think about signing up. There will be plenty of really good PR players to learn from and you'll be fighting in really well organized battles where PR really truly shines.

When you get assigned to a team, you will be assigned to a squad that will include a core of vets and who you will play with throughout the campaign, building up your skill the whole way through.

In around 3-5 weeks from now the sign-ups will most likely open for grunts (or reserves if you'd like to commit less time), so keep an eye out!

Hey Yrkidding, thanks for the reply. Yes I've seen the announcements for the tournament, and I'm planning on participating. I'm just waiting till grunt signups open up!
