1.4 Official Beta

Some people might have noticed that we are running the [1.4 Official Python Beta] on our server with PRTA for this week. Basically testing server side stuff so when v1.4 comes out other servers doesn't get bugs with python.
But if we can't properly test with a full server when we offer it, then I better not see anyone complaining about python related stuff when v1.4 comes out.


Battle Recorder

Meanwhile In the last few days I've been working on our Battle recorder display to be better: [LINK]
- Filter function.
- Occasionally the mapname is wrong but it's really rare.
- No data mean the server was empty at round start. But there might have been important stuff later.
- Time stamp is never wrong!


2INS/2AAS

We have a thread on our website to discuss that policy with a poll: [LINK]
We removed the 2INS/2AAS from our server name to make the name shorter.
We still enforce that policy until further notice.

This morning around 9 AM (UTC+1) I joined your server for a good game. The map was Kokan and the server was full. I saw that there is only one APC but 6 players in APC squad. Someone else was leading the squad prior to Bulls leading it. Bulls then took the squad lead and rest of us rejoined. His mate Jiayu (sorry if not spelled correctly) was afk for some time and bulls asked for someone to go with him in APC. Saying that I would, I went back to main and got inside APC with Bulls. We went to location he pointed out and I got out and started throwing smoke around him. Jiayu then came got into the APC and killed me by driving back into me. 30 seconds later, bomb car destroys them. I asked Bulls in joking manner "Did you get so many kills there?" He asked if that was sarcasm and when I said it was he started lashing out on me;
Calling me idiot several times ,telling me that I am retarded and such . He then kicked me from the squad not explaining the actual reason. 2 minutes later i go to the CACHE and destroy it. After placing C4 , I call it out on team chat and minute after I get kicked for no reason. I would also like to point out that he was insulting my whole [F|H] community while insulting me . This shows that he is unprofessional in his admin duties, and has no respect for other players and communities.

Talked to him, he got triggered by getting called "Dumbpc" after a few back and forth between both and as you known Bulls is only Trial Admin for a week but this isn't the behavior that our Community Admin should have in those type of situations.

Thanks for reporting the incident.
I'll make sure those situation wont happen with him, if it does well an hammer will fall on him.

The new update is great and everyone is having a great time on Bijar. Suddenly FFG all-chats "FAGGOT" and when I report it ("language"), turns out he is an admin and sends me a warning. Not only that, but developers are on his team and say nothing. Everyone in my squad couldn't believe I got warned for reporting language on FFG all-chatting FAGGOT.
Then, FFG tries to explain to me his version of what maturity is: not banning someone for banter. FFG is immature, childish, and should not be an admin. He consistently makes poor decisions in both chat and warning. Please reconsider his ADMIN status on =H=.

Never really has been in all the years I've played on it.... v1 and v2.

If the rule is ...... and I step up to the line, I usually get warned. H or any other server.

Admin puts one toe over the line, I usually get warned for saying which toe is over the line. H or any other server.

It's the same ole same ole across the board. No one cares about the "banter" until it crosses their cultural boundaries. Now, this only applies when it crosses an admin's cultural boundary, not anyone else for the most part.

I know admins don't like what I say but it pretty much sums it up.

Other than that, H is an ok server to be on. Decent play. Play within your own "cultural circles" and try hard to ignore all the nonsense. Same goes for any other server.

P.S. I bet you there is more to the story than the short news byte above.

We will be changing our Squad creation timer from "1:30" to "2:00" on February 1st server time on the first server crash/restart.
We will also the increase our total briefing timer by another 30 seconds. So people with slow computers will still be able to load in time.

But seriously, The server was up for about 18 hours. I don't think it was Silent eagle that crashed the server, I think it just crashed because it was about that time.

It might be worth investigating if possible, from memory this isn't the first time with Silent Eagle.
But yes, it might have something to do with the uptime, because most crashes that I experienced on Hardcore usually occur on noon-afternoon my time which is when the euros start to play and the 'murican playerbase dies.

Yeah so, Generally we seed the server before the north americans get on. and it usually crashes around 4-6 am NZDT or 2-4 Australian GMT +7.

Without going overboard and doing terrible stuff like a set maplist and removing all the admin commands, =]H[= Hardcore has taken the approach to accept that server crashes happen and to work on gameplay as much as possible.

I've seen thousands of conspiracy theories about what causes server crashes, From "!k causes instability because it seems to" to "Wider letters such as W use more bandwidth and can lead to server instability". Ill pass the info onto other admins, But I doubt that its anything more then a coincidence.

Probably just timing, Im not sure of any maps in the latest release actually causing crashes.
