I was in Merkava on gaza ins. I lazed friendly "Humwee"(IDF) from tank. After couple of minutes I saw the same humwee with the laze still stuck on him.
Off topic - you can walk on the water somewhere around the carrier on the falklands on vehicle warfare mod.

Fixed for next patch, including the GTLD laser designators (Helicopters, Jets Copilot)
