Harrier GR.3 CAS GPB turning bug

Post by Ega420 »

When on carrier (falklands) and doing a pushback the rudder controls are reversed.

ye, this is a problem with all the Harriers. The problem is the hover controls are in the works and as such when you pitch back to reverse, you also lift the nose wheel off the floor which in turns, means you don't get any wheel steering. If you put your throttle to 5% forwards, your engine won't engage in forward motion but you will be able to taxi more easily, but still not perfectly.

as far as I noticed it is definitely not all the Harriers who acts like this. But thanks for reply. I will try that.

P.S. When you try to land and hold the throttle negative(?) to enter hover mode sometimes controls reverses for some time until forward velocity drops significantly. It feels like putting negative throttle on the helicopter and it controls reverses. Then after some time it normalises (on harrier).
It's not like a bug - it is easily countered with some caution and extra altitude :)
