Good luck with that one.

I'd extend the prone fire to 1.0, the deviation takes care of the rest.

Schakal is looking at the issue wrong.

What we really need is a fire delay after you sprint. How's about 20 seconds?

Actually now that you mention it, I think giving the US soldiers this in addition to a bloody feels-like-about-to-die screen after sprinting is a good idea. :D

That said though, Schakal's idea isn't bad per se... if the delay from standing->crouching was like 0.1s it wouldn't be completely stupid. But it will nerf the fuck out of sniping and HATs, so I don't like it.

I think it should be at least 5 seconds fire delay before shooting. I can't get myself immersed into the realism of the game otherwise.

Thanks for this change, but prone diving still works on bad players (aka 90% of all) since you drop below their sight and it takes a lot more than 0.8s for most to adjust. Could easily be a bit longer.

Differentiating the troll posts from the normal ones* is quite hard in this thread.

*bad players who still get killed even with a 10 second prone fire delay

We have no trigger at all that fires when changing standing to crouch or other way. We would add something if we could simply to stop the jack in the box tactics.

I really don't understand why everyone want to change this, is already enough in my opinion, you can only shoot when the animation is finished (Takes quite good time and give enough time to kill anyone doing dropshots now).

It needs an increase to 2 seconds and an additional delay for standing > crouched needs atleast 1.5 seconds.

Looks like this change is either beloved or plainly hated. Some people dont like it now and wont like it unless reverted and some others do like it and would even increase it a little bit.
So for the sake of testing why not try adding that little bit?

If you didn't realize most people here advocating an increase are just plain joking.

The delay might aswell not be in the game, it was only added because of 1 player and his videos anyway )))))

I for one are pleased with the delay. I've had no problems with it, but it's good that it's gone :)

I don't mind it, I have yet to see any negatives myself.

No problems with the delay at all (maybe that's because I don't have dolphin diving in my genes).
