bots not joining squads in local COOP

Hey all,

When I created a local server to play coop, I noticed a good majority of the bots were not in squads and were unassigned. These bots that were unassigned tended to just stay at their original spawn location. My friend also noticed this problem when he too created a local server! I did modify my AIdefault to have 96 bots, but I did this in previous versions and all the bots where in squads.

It's simple.

The first thing you should know is which of the bots have no squad. You check that with the [Tab] key you leave it pressed, you do Right click, you will see the mouse pointer and you select "Squads" there are low the list down and you will see that the last group of bots are the "Unassigned".

Now that you know which bots are not assigned to any squad, you join the first squadn with the least bots and then you become the leader squad, then you click on the option called below, "manage Squad" and you select the bots that you know that are unassigned, it seems to me that the system does not accept more than 5 bots per squad, you click on accept.

After entering another Squad and do the same process above, always seeing with [Tab] which bots are still "Unassigned".

For you to know, you can do this same process with the bots that are assigned to squads, if you are not satisfied that a squad has more bots than the others, if you want the same number of bots for each squad you can select from the Squad in which you are to another bot of another squad and assign it to your squad.

Yes, it seems that when the game is set to 96 bots, the OPFOR team bots join squads as normal, and the BLUEFOR team bots don't join squads (they do, but the squads aren't filled).

Anyone make any progress with this? Jakcs solution to this is way to time consuming and unrealistic. I figure that the first 48 bots seem to join squads like you would expect, and opfor gets to go first for whatever reason. Then the rest, just one bot per squad, except alpha and bravo, they get 2 or 3.

So on some testing, I learnt that at any given time, only 64 bots are joining squads at any given time, and OPFOR gets priority.
