Ulyanovsk AAS 32

Post by FFG »

We played Ulyanovsk today on Hardcore, Mainly because I wanted to see the changes to this specific layer. In 1.4.5 the SPG-9 Techie that spawns at the start was replace for an BMP 1. At the start of the match Germany has no assets to deal with this.

In the past when the SPG techie would drive around, an AR would easily scare this off. But a well used BMP-1 can easily hold distance and farm kills off of the Germans as the fuchs doesn't even touch it.

My suggestion is to

either add a APC Puma off the Bat, or Spawn delay the BMP-1 by 15 minutes.

Classic Schakal, You failed to read what I wrote. Good going my dude. If you check the post, I even linked a tracker file that specifically shows what you said. But as I said. A BMP-1 use correctly can easily hold distance and rape....

A LAT used correctly can stop it.

Back in the good old days you could kill a bmp1 with a pistol.

you mean this pistol

Anyway, I always try to take the Lat when in the Squad, or if I am the SQL, I always demand a Lat when the Squad Hits 4 people... the reason is that you can destroy any APC (w/ the possible exception being the Namer) w/ one or 2 Lat shoots... and even if there is only Cars, a Lat can save your squad against a Humvee or something, when a rifle can also save, is unlikely that it will destroy the vehicle.

The BMP-1 is very Low armored, w/ one or 2 LAT shoots being enough to destroy it, depending on the Lat and where you are hitting, even if it was a BMP-2 or BMP-3 you can destroy then w/ the modern M72, w/ out a need to reload from a Ammo crate.

So No it is not OP, the BMP gives an advantage for the Militia, which has no Scope, and shitty weaponry, removing it would make the map much more sided to the Germans
