What do you DISLIKE in current state of PR (2016)?

Some of the playerbase. PR used to be the mod for the people who fell for EA advertising BF2 as some kind of "light" milsim, but then it turned out it was what it was. Pretty sure many of the players who came to PR played operation flashpoint or ARMA as well.

Nowdays we have quite a lot of players who are just looking for another COD game and think large asset maps are the penis cancer.

However if you know whom to look for you get good games going on that one server that is currently hosting the true believers, as long as the admins dont load up muttrah again.

Also I approve of Carpenters "The Thing" .

I disagree, I bought BF2, because I was promised a Modern Day FPS with Vehicles and I was not disappointed. I came to PR because my friend ran a server and have been here since .2 or .3(cant remember which exactly).

Eh, yes and no. Most of the young kids(12-16) heard about squad and couldn't afford it so they tried PR. I had a 12 year old french girl in my squad, who told me she likes FPS games but hates Battlefield and Call of Duty, because it's too 'dumb.' I also had a 14 year old Russian kid who couldn't stop fucking screaming over comms when he got shot. And when he went black and white my ears popped.

Then there's this kid named mugget(he was in a bluedrake video, and now thinks he's famous); never shuts up and always insults everybody. I had to kick him from my cas sqaud to stop him from taking sniper and fucking off to who knows where.

I know how you feel about Muttrah, but it's the best example of a PR map. It's perfectly asymmetrically balanced and highlights the best aspects of PR.

The biggest issue I have with most games these days, PR included, is you can't run them on gnu/linux, or at least not without losing some functionality.
Until this is changed, nothing about them really matters, and we can't even start to go in the right direction with games development.

You need a quantum computer (a super fast single core) to run with 60fps, but that's none of the devs fault.

No binoculars for BLUFOR iron sight kits.

Also no binoculars for turret gunners, though to be fair I'm not sure if that is entirely possible.

Replace MG with bino model, make C zoom more than it does now, add bino overlay. My best guess on how it could work.

Unbalanced map layers, "balancing" by tickets, misaligned sights, poor kit balance, post 1.0 performance, poor asset-inf balance, changes that aid realism but have a poor impact on gameplay.

Ctds at most important times and CONSTANTLY playing the same maps over and over again. Like for fuck sakes it seems that there's at least ONE server always playing sareema or muttrah. EVERYONE played Falklands and bamyan for 2 weeks now you'll be lucky to get goose green.

Another is a lack of night maps in rotation that aren't vietnam

About the game? Nothing much, I'd say I wish it had a larger player base, but for a game that's over 10 years old, and consistently has it seems like over 200 on at any given time... pretty dang good.

Oh, forgot... Maps, and overplaying them. What Fubar said sums up my opinion. Now admins just put what they want in the vote, maybe one suggestion, or whatnot.

Netcode, hit detection, rubberbanding, tripple and quadruplescoping, performance, "balancing", bugs, admins and players. And the usual lack of panthers/crows hmmwvs. Panther is love panther is life.

Apart from PR but about this community I also dont like that so few people are active on squadforums to make that game change for the "better" (aka more like PR2). Its like we gave up on it. At least pretty much all of the hardcore longtime PR addicts did. Thats quite shocking, the people that are really really into this kind of gameplay stopped following.
It could be so much better already. No matter how much you wanna hate on PR theres some things that are what they are for a reason, in all those years weve pretty much tested every possible thing and decided its best how it is by now.

Ralleypoint/FOB/Vehicle-Claim/Kit-Systems are killing it for me.

The weapon handling/player movement was improved a whole lot already though, didnt expect they would actually do that so may be get over there and discuss with them. I regained some hope for it.

on the squad forum there is this smart guy called [S]Kreig.
He has very good suggestions. maybe people should go there and support him

Im wondering how hes not been banned yet, everytime i try to discuss the FOB/Rally-System my posts get deleted within 2 minutes and im threatened with permban.

Oh, may be thats why noone`s there anymore? Haha

I dislike that the game has a lot of maps that should be removed. There are some maps that fulfill the same design principles such as Kami and Kashan (rolling dunes, a lot of open ground, Armour rules the day, but CAS is super effective as well as easily countered). While I can appreciate the effort put into the maps by the designer it just feels that some maps have not aged well at all.

Night in this game is horrible, every time a night round comes up I leave. There was a time when the devs didn't want to do night time maps because BF2 can't do night time properly, then one day it seems as if someone managed to break this rule and now we have a handful of horrible night maps.

Falklands night layer is possibly the worst night layer for a map that is so open like that, you could just grab a sniper rifle, up your gamma and boom, you have the most kills with no effort.

Falklands night is the best it gets my **** hard just thinking about all the tracers from the Jets lighting up the night sky. Falkland night was one of my best and most epic Games
