Cas outranges manpad by a long way on Bijar. Right now Helis using standoff tactics on Bijar can only be killed by tank sniping and other air.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but it is a thing. I spent more than an hour last week trying to set up air ambushes with a manpad on Bijar and it just wasn't happening. It's reminiscent of 0.7 era Kashan in this respect.

One team gets always outcapped on this map.
I see the problem with ground assets.
Std: IDF has 4 atg tanks, 3 namers vs MEC 3 T72, 2 BMPs which is completely imbalanced. Delete 1 merkava to balance it!

Alt is even worse with only 1 BMP. Change it to: 1 merkava, 3 namer vs 1 T72, 1 BMP3, 2 BTR 80

Namer can't kill tanks, BMP-3 can. MEC has potential 5 tank killers, IDF has 4. Plus BMP-3 has the fastest ATGM in the game, Merkava has relatively slow TOW-2. You can't really roll with ATGMs loaded since it's just too slow.

The problem is that the Merkava can 1 shot all MEC vehicles and they only have 2 BMPs that will die from, AP, ATGM, 2 LATs, HAT.

If you compare the Merkava and the T72 than you have: faster reload+ATGM+IRsmoke+best armor vs AP+noIR+weak armor

So 1 Merkava can easilly fight 2 T72.

And the "slower" ATGM doesnt really matter.

MEC rolls IDF every now and then too, it depends a bit more on whos using assets than what assets they have.

At long distance ATGM puts you at a disadvantage indeed like private said. You can't just roll around with it, more of a defensive choice.

I agree with virus on this one. And while I could bring up map stats arguments I'm not going to :) I've gotten steamrolled on bijar multiple times screaming that I'm gonna remove those merkava's but similarly gotten wrecked in them by the BMP3. Mostly tells me I shouldn't operate tanks. Depends on the teams, which sounds about right for a PR asset map :p

It always depends on who is using them and you cant deny that the Merkava is far better than a T72 or BMP3.

Why not have the ALT layer with less tanks and more APCs?

How can a tank be better than an IFV? Makes no sense.
I had the same feeling when I got destroyed by an ATGM from a Merkava, but to be fair it was my mistake.

T72 and BMPs need to work together anyways, BMPs have the best ATGM in the game,T72 have HE Frag it's awesome to attack infantry and emplacements.
And, as said before, it all depends on who is using the assets.

I'd rather take the BMP-3 atm over merkava. Bugged front armor makes for easy 1hk ATGMs )))

If yes, then 1 merkava indeed has to go. The lone BTR80 on that map doesn't make any difference whatsoever. Especially since its coupled with some worthless MTLBs and are facing 3 namers.

I still dont get why someone put a BTR80 not even 80A into that map. What should you engage with that ****? Maybe switch to Mtlb 30mm?

Good idea, that thing could use some more maps to be in.

But to be fair that particular BTR before the update was quite handy because you could oneman it with every kit and when you jumped in the gunner position the gun was movable immediately. :p But the DEVs caught on and replaced it with a regular BTR. :smile:
