FPS // Low!

well my idk if this is normal but i have a decent laptop to play PR i through
but it seems iam getting like 20fps+ is there any method i can bump my fps with
i tried this method , parking cpu's updating just normal basic themes , power options to HIGH
i even set the resolution to 640x480 and i still lag!

Its not that proccesor if i change it to my proccesor it says Green but video card red
My GHz is 2.16 with a boost to 2.66

Your processor is nowhere near powerful enough to run PR decently. You need a new computer.

well PR works now around 30/40 fps on a map lowest 28 fps with some bumps to 49 i just installed directx9 and a parkcontrol thingy

2.16GHz, and in low powered chip (Celeron) is terrible for our ancient heavily modified single threaded engine. I wouldn't expect PR to work well on it. Having a Laptop-grade IntelHD GPU does not help.

Proper DirectX 9 drivers is something you either have or you don't. It won't net you more frames.

The settings in the game are designed for bottlenecks that existed in 2004. You won't get a big performance change by changing them.

btw, I wouldn't listen to that FPS guy.

Recently my brother gave me another monitor, I Had a 29 inches ultrawide Lg monitor, I played with eveything on max settings with the resolution of 2560x1080 and i never got fps lower than 90.

But this new monitor.. is that 34 inches Asus ultrawide, with a resolution of 3440x1440 and sometimes my FPS goes to like 20, but generaly maintains 40 to 50+ in general.

This is my computer:
i7-3770 3.4GHz
16gm Ram
Geforce GTX 1060 3gb

Is it too weak to run a 3440x1440 or I'll never be able to run properly at this resolution, what should I do?

Just try different resolutions (at 60 hz only)
Disable vsync. Never use vsync.
BF2's vsync is trash




recommendations for this uber big monitor are

Yeah, this monitor has g-Syinc and even when i hadn't this one I woulnd't use vsync because stutering is the worst thing.

BTW, I downloaded your PR Graphic Enhancement Mod and played on that militian/russian urban map and it was a blast, loved the effects, really looked like another game.

but.. the edges are too dark, like, i can't see if my weapon is on full-auto or semi-auto, nor I can see if i'm speaking on nearby channel/squad channel.

Is it possible to take of those dark edges? everything else is spot on!! Thank you.

and i played without anything showing me the fps and it didn't bother me at all.
Although must be that i played on a mapa that only 40 people were playing so that might be why it felt so smooth.
