training grounds?
hey guys, I have PR downloaded and ready to go but I am immediately aware I am out of my depth....this style of FPS is something I am only recently gravitating to. I can see people take this stuff seriously, so rather than be a liability out there...what's the best way to get some real training? I did not see any training options in PR itself. Assuming playing BF2 would be a start? Any other FPS'rs out there similar enough to have training translate? Any input appreciated.

Just read the manual, take a rifleman kit for start and listen to your squad leader. Eventually you will get into it. Of course, you might stumble upon someone (in-game) who is willing to show you couple of tricks, that's how we all started.

Also staring with a few coop games (vs. AI) is not a bad idea. It represents actuall PvP fights only very poorly, but is good to get a taste of PR basic mechanics.

Hi man. Just join a squad, and check if the squadleader has a mic. If he has one, tell him you are new to the game. If he is a good squadleader, then he will teach you stuff. Also. If the squadleader doesnt have a mic and no one ia willi g to help you, then you should simply join another squad.
Couple of tips. Dont take sniper or marksman. Dont take kits that require more experience. The best kit to start with is rifleman or breacher. After some time you will start to understand certain things better and youcan move on to the more complicated stuff.

Hi! I am also a new player and would appreciate a training grounds map just like squad has. I tried to learn as I go along but I don't have a microphone and most people won't give me a chance. I really like this game and would like to be a part of this community. Thank you.

You absolutely need to have a mic to play this game (as it should be played)
