- Bots don't wait for you when taking off in choppers after 'need pickup'
Bots bail out over enemy bases instead of landing their choppers
Bots don't respond to 'follow me' and 'need backup' and request orders
Bot names aren't country pacific (eg "M. Chu" can be USA, "T. Donaldson" can be MEC)

Bot Changes
My BF2 computer is having internet troubles, so I've mainly been playing against expert-level bots since release. However, I've noted some things which need changes:

I'm quite sure the bots are not from any country around the Pacific... Then again... The MEC might be...?Bot names aren't country pacific
But you are right and I've thought about that as well. Bot names should, if possible, reflect where they're from.
It's slightly disconcerting to be attacked by a chinese troop with the unlikely name of Sjowall!

Hah - I meant country SPECIFIC (but you already knew that).Michael M. wrote:Bot names aren't country pacific
Yeah, bots are all I can get at the moment (I'm starting to get sick of my wireless network troubles), but I don't think they're as bad as everyone claims them to be. I've been playing against bots 99% percent of the time, and I've found that I'm really starting to get used to the maps. I can only play on expert now, and the strategies I'm using will really prepare me for online play. Of course, it'll take some adjusting to - human players don't react the same way as bots.
So far, I think the chopper problem is MY biggest concern. If the team are going to put in work on SP, then this is one sure thing to change. There's nothing like trying to race to a transport heli at the start of a game, only to see a bot lifting off, flying into the distance despite all your "need pickup" requests. It'd also be nice to see bots LAND their choppers, instead of simply ejecting, letting the chopper float to the ground.
