This is meant for EXACTLY the types of occurences of naming squads AMR or something vague at 1:59.999 to claim assets. Either you name it ARMOUR or be left out hanging to someone who does. Don't be upset about others succeeding, get onto their level or don't try.

Armor leaves no room for interpretation whatsoever. You're splitting hairs over this on the off-chance that a person unaware of "the correct spelling" is faster than Vatsug 'n pals. These are bullying tactics, nothing else, same as locking "Armour" on Khami Alt with 4 people, while there are 5 assets claimed by it, losing the armour battle due to getting outnumbered, which turns to losing the match for the team in the process and feeling absolutely NO remorse over it whatsoever.

And this is really just the tip of the iceberg.

Not accepting that as the same thing is ridiculous, first sq is first sq, it's not so hard. Honestly I hadn't seen this being enforced, but joining black gold, suddenly there it was. Forcing people to remember if it was the US or UK way to write it and which was which again. Great.

I can understand the frustration of being silenced so no infractions for the last few pages. Please see this is another reminder for the future posts. Infractions will follow again.

As my name was mentioned here a quick note. I don't have any affiliation or friendship with any server, I hate them all equally. Neither am I in contact with a single server so I doubt you can accuse me of such things.

I am working on a updated server license for better protection of players, as that's a part that is lacking atm IMO. As is sort of also witnessed here. A license update doesn't happen over night, also some technical things involved in relation to the server updater and all that. Not something we can change at a moments notice. I guess I mostly want to say I'm not ignoring all this. but as with all thing PR, it takes more time then we all want it to.

My biggest fear is the community turning smaller, into a few almost private/whitelisted server communities which get too small to populate the game, but refuse to talk to each other over toxicity and drama. Which simply kills the game. I hope with a more protected player status in the license we can avoid alienation and a more healthy server community that can live together. Accountability will be more important as well. But perfection I do not expect at all and neither should you. Servers will always be free in deciding for who they host their servers.

So that can conclude the discussion of license and all off-topic talk. PRTA Feedback thread= PRTA feedback posts.

The fact that admin action was taken over the correct origin and spelling of a word should be enough proof to the person who handles this that this shit is getting ridiculous.

Resigning a squad for spelling armor instead of Armour is already unnecessary retarded, but on top of that the admin who took action, then made the squad again spelled the correct way according to PRTA thesaurus (which they entire world uses btw) and only let his buddies in. How are people not seeing that not as a form of admin abuse? How many other people have been resigned for misspelling a letter in their asset they are claiming? How often do people make tonks, CASS, AYYPEECEE, and so forth? The fact that an admin resigned someone over a letter in a squad name is infuriating. And dont bother telling me it should have been reported on there website as admin abuse if it was that big of a problem, because we know that wouldn't work, and this thread has ample proof of that.

Does everyone here understand how stupid and petty of a decision that is to make, and to further support the abuse claim, the involved parties relations are publicly known to be hostile. So tell me, how does that not scream abuse?

Back when I was admin on PRTA in like 2014ish a MECH inf squad name themselves MEC inf on a map where mec wasn't a playable faction. Obviously it was a typo, but the name still wasn't wrong, just misspelled and the APC squad leader thought he could get away with not giving them an APC by saying they were middle eastern coalition infantry not MECH Inf. You see how idiotic and nit picky that is. Back then, that APC squad turned out having to give that squad an APC.

If I was to go on any other server and make a CAS squad and name it CA$, almost every server will accept that as a correct squad name and its absolutely unnecessary for an admin to resign people over it. I would be pissed too, and again seeing as they handle their reports on their website this is the only place left to go to hope for something to change it.

I'd go about sending a message to the appropriate person regarding all this, I just dont understand why its necessary when the information is all gathered here, all that is needed is to act.

What? PRTA is a european server, where not everyones first language is English. Many people who play PR learn English playing the game with other people. I don't think its very fair to the player base to resign entire squads over such a tiny thing as not having a "u" in the word.

Both Armour (Queens English) and Armor (American English) are both correct spellings of the word.

I have seen the amour rule in action multiple times, is annoying as fuck, especially when the person resigning you then makes the squad and locks it for his friends, however is in their (over complicated) rules.

Why don't you add a rule that says: admins have priority over any assets claiming. that should solve any issue

For all I care, it could say that you need to name your squad BICYCLE in order to claim tanks. Its your job to read and comply with the rules.

Just explainig for the less fortunate ones. I personally did put forward a suggestion for name thing to be dropped on a pleb level, but it isnt a priority it seems. Hopefully one day, ARMOR can play again.
