I don't like how the faction flags are missing, also add shadow going to the left on "Russia" and "Squad" under it so it's better highlighted that it's selected.
I assume these are only concepts made in photoshop and not in your version of the game currently?
Would look better if you capture the images in .png and upload them so it's more higher quality to look at.
The rest looks alright, good work.

Agreed, i like the cleaner concept but I don't care for the straight black/grey, there isn't much depth. Nice work tho so far!

in my opinion OP, i like the faction flags to stay instead of removing it , also add more details in the squad/kit/faction tab specially on the faction names like putting a shadow on it.

So i thought it whould be better have a clear and fineshed idea before start working in it.
About factions flags and squad roles, i just didn't had time to put them.
I'm checking this thread to see your (everyone) suggestions, i will improve everything i've heard so far

Borders are unnecessary, all uppercase text need to go, suicide/give up/medic buttons have to be re-worked.

How much can you modify the menu? is it restricted to 4:3 resolutions and so forth?

yes but you can change all elements to wide screen aspect ratio... say you have a 40x40 texture node that looks stretched on 1920x1080 (cause it will be scaled as 800x600), but right at 4:3 you can make the texture node at 4/3 = 1.33 so for it to look right the width is 1.33 times the height in a 16:9 format that would be 1.77. so let's say you wanna keep the same node height as the original but less stretched so the 40 for 1.33 will become around 30.cribbaaa wrote:How much can you modify the menu? is it restricted to 4:3 resolutions and so forth?
and you can also use Higher resolution textures for all of it, so it's possible to have a good HD Hud for Full_HD formats that won't be optimized for 4:3 screen but for a more newer 16:9 format.

In theory you could create separate UIs optimized for different aspect ratios have the launcher select which one to use, but this would double the amount of work needed.

Exactly, and an 16:9 aspect hud will still working in a old VGA 4:3 monitor (does it still exist?) it's just not optimized for that, as now it's not optimized for 16:9 so for present days 16:9 optimized hud seems way more reasonable.TBob wrote:In theory you could create separate UIs optimized for different aspect ratios have the launcher select which one to use, but this would double the amount of work needed.

Black is the worst. Maybe make it slightly lighter with blue hint in it to tie in with the theme of PR launcher and the manual
