Yes,becuase it is based on T-72. There are plans to make same vehicle on Armata chase. There are BMPT in Syrian army so it could be used by MEC.DogACTUAL wrote:Wasn't the BMP-T rejected by the russian armed forces?

Re: Russian equipment
For "Russian weird scopes" that is best scopes bicause you can see ground. In rl you need to see and shoot infantry on ground.
For russian assets in BF2 game like in this game.Dice works for EA.So american game "American weapons the best".Simple

Re: Russian equipment
I'm gonna go ahead and say that dice and ea have zero say in the vehicles and weapons the Russian faction get in this game, nor their capabilities.
..or maybe they do and you're just the first to crack open the grand conspiracy.

Re: Russian equipment
This game doesn't even have proper working regular NV or even vehicle searchlight, causing conventional forces to be...lacking...in case of night time insurgency maps.
Maybe you should get regular NV working(so vehicles without FLIR wouldn't be blind at night) first???

Re: Russian equipment
T-64 was produced in Ukraine, reason why there weren't huge stockpile of those MBT's in Russia, even before Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Latter sucked the Russian existing T-64 reserves completely dry because all the T-64 that could be made to move were sent to Donbass/Lugansk militants.Aleksa2000SM wrote:Most of those tanks are in reserve. They use T-90 and T-72B3(T-90 standard). T-80 is mostly not used because engine,T-64 is not used because lack of spair parts and T-62 and T-55 are not even consider to be used. So PR is accurate whit this.
Majority of the "current" Russian MBT's appear to be T-72B3 mods.

Re: Russian equipment
Yes,that is true. Because T-64(and T-80) were design and produce in Ukraine,Russian Army deside not to use T-64. It true that Soviet Armed Forces units in Russia didnt use T-64,but you forgotte that Russia got big amount of tanks after Soviet units move back to Russia after end of Cold war. Many Soviet Army tank units in East Germany were armed whit T-64 tanks. Thats how Russia end up whit around 1000 T-64 for which they didnt have speir parts, becase tank and speir parts were produce in Ukraine.Unit-RX400 wrote:T-64 was produced in Ukraine, reason why there weren't huge stockpile of those MBT's in Russia, even before Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Re: Russian equipment
1) When BF2 was released, DICE was it's own, Swedish company. It was acquired by EA only after it was clear that BF2 was massive success.lakinen wrote: For russian assets in BF2 game like in this game.Dice works for EA.So american game "American weapons the best".Simple
2) Russian infantry weapons are poorer because they have much looser mechanical engineering tolerances than Western weapons in general. Also certain parts utterly lack (or at least used to) anti-corrosion coating. Given little dampness in environment, AKM/AK74M would internally rust like nobody's business unless you seriously maintained'em (cleaned/oiled on regular basis, especially after shooting).
Reliability AK47, or more precisely AKM (which most of the "AK47's" actually are) became famous for, is mostly there because of those loose tolerances. Which of course hurts the accuracy. Precise-engineering and tolerance for grit (sand,blood,mud,water...) inside the weapon tend to be contradictions rarely seen IRL.
AKMs successor - AK74M is not even half that reliable, additionally it suffers under couple other issues:
- threads of a muzzle flash/recoil compensator deteriorate over time. When that detail is not firmly fixed, weapon's accuracy goes to hell. That degradation is guaranteed to happen over time, because for cleaning the weapon, you'd have to also unscrew the compensator.
- 5.45x39 round is sensitive to grass and even the smallest branches - deviating from course really fast.
- that round tends to penetrate, without häving much of a stopping power.
I don't even mention handguns like Makarov's pistol. Under-powered, crappy weight distribution in hand, weak round. Throwing it at enemy is often more efficient than shooting from it. Except for, it makes pretty good training weapon. Once you are proficient shooting from PM, majority of other pistols suddenly feel like "really easy"..
(had permit for AKM for years, as a draftee in army I lugged around AK74M)

Wrong, that is west company they sell product to west.(because east is poor). They have customers in the west, and they have to adapt the product to that market(profit).
According to me, they need to make a balance, the Americans have a better armament, and the Russians have a larger number of vehicles.

So the problem for you comes down to pure ideology. "bad West", "good East"?lakinen wrote:1) When BF2 was released, DICE was it's own, Swedish company. It was acquired by EA only after it was clear that BF2 was massive success.

If someone would even apply your POV to the games, Russian "larger number of vehicles" would only apply to ground armor, which would be bombed to dust from air. Since U.S alone has more than three times more combat aircraft than Russian Air Force. And Russian aircraft would have to be much weaker in-game, because they are generally generation or two behind U.S counterparts.
Try to be more critical towards Russian "this weapon system has no analog in the world" propaganda in the media.
Where Russia has noticeable advantage over "bad West" is MLRS systems and EW. Nothing else much.

No i speak on game to balance.Better weapons vs more units.Balance in game.I know that in real world russian have good equipment. But in this game there is no exact date for each map, so they put different weapons on the maps.

a lot of the things you ask for aren't in the game nad they take a lot of focus, commitment, and sheer fucking willsomeone gets that.. right?.
anyways the game is about gameplay not about russia sending more tanks than US tanks and then having a massive war battle, just like how it's not about france sending more armor than pla personell
it's a game we are all having fun playing with our team cooperating to victory not about .. whatever this is
