mumble: Can't change Local speech and Squad radio keys.

Hi,

My brother is having problems changing/binding keys to use with mumble. He has preffered keys, (non-default).
Its a computer specific problem and has happened "Ever since mumble update".
and
"Can't change Local speech and Squad radio keys (Local Speech from Q to Left Alt - it wont budge from Q)."

We've tried changing these in the launch mumble menu and in BF2 controls aswell.

Any ideas?

very wild guess: try launch as admin or try to uncheck read only in mumble folder properties

Thanks alon, it works now with the old version of mumble (replacing program files folder).

Still have problems with this. It worked but now its back but issue is slightly different. Are there known issues you are working on? Is mumble updating or something?

The new problem is; none of the keys register when I press them i.e. the icon does not appear bottom right.

Really frustrating. I share this computer and the othe person has his buttons config'd different keys but I doubt thats the cause.

EDIT Works now, not sure what I did but if the (intermittent) problem persists it should be looked at,

It does work, but the icon doesn't pop up so I assumed it wasn't working. ~Thats' all. apparently its common.

Icon and mumble beep still persist to not appear. In my previous post I was mistaken, that was BF2 Local Speech but mumble is not registering my designated keys. I have already patched with old mumble. I think this is a bug with PR. Any ideas?

I tried to delete/reset/retreive 'my' profile. When I try to bind custom mumble keys for new profile, via the PRlaucnher I get an error. The error is in the log file which is attached at txt. With the latest Mumble it seems I spend more time trying to get it to work than using it! .

Others have suggested to leave the squad, alt-tab out and exit mumble in task-bar (and it auto-restarts) hopwever this did not fix the awol-mumble-icon problem. Personally I think its just the keys aren't sticking.

To be more constructive I would like to ask, what are the default keys by default in mumble for local and squad radio, so I can atleast test them?

I think I fixed it. I had the same key assigned twice! Num 6 for Local Radio and for SL 6.

I'm an idiot!
