Not sure if this is a bug, a one off, or is by design.
Yesterday I was playing on Iron Eagle gunning the T-72s and I had HE shell loaded as I was not expecting armour. Next thing I know a Merkeva showed up in front of us and as he crested I fired a single HE shell into his underbelly. He couldn't shoot back because the explosion FX covered his whole front section, I thought we were screwed but apparently that single HE shell took him down to critical damage. He started flaming and backed off before exploding.
Is this by design or a bug?

HE should one-shot on back armor. Don't remember what the under side is set to.
