Allow to see exactly what kind of vehicles enemy has on the map

Post by Lugi »

When you press capslock, theres a dropdown menu that allows you what kind of vehicles your team has, as well as their spawn times. But for the enemy team it's just a generic list, like "3x apc, 2x tank" and without precise spawn timers.
There's literally no reason why enemy vehicles listed there shouldn't be in the same format as friendly ones: exact type and number, and a respawn time. So what I'm suggesting is just adding a full list like this for both of the teams. It's just a small QoL change that would help lower the learning curve a bit. Same thing could be extended to show the enemy mapmaker-placed spawnpoints, like the one in Operation Marlin inside the city.

Marking things on the map can look a bit heavy. I could find the limited mapper points that last first 5 minutes or so and make markers for the enemy team, but I think its a bit too much information.
I agree completely on the asset list.

After some time, you will know what enemy has and the timers...
Could be changed, but its not needed.

There's literally no reason
what?

There's actually one: incomplete intel - you know things that happen in war.

The thing for PR is that it's sort of useless cause some factions most of the time have one asset for example tanks (US, Germans, French, etc.).

I'm thinking in real life, you sort of know which asset the enemies have (unless it's a new weapon). What you don't know is which assets will they use (for example it is known that the ISIL uses T-55s T-62s, T-72's, and some NATO captured ones) but what you might not know is when/where/how they will use each of these.

In the case of PR, if this is going to be modified, either show everything unless there are 2+ types of the same assets (2 tanks or 2 types of BMP) or don't show anything.

I think it's fine, no need to change this atm, let the DEV's focus on more important things.

It would actually made sense if the amount of assets was random - just like caches spawn randomly, or decided by the enemy commander. When the amount is fixed theres no reason to withdraw that information.

This can be changed in literally 60 seconds.

No, Its a learning curve thing. If you aren't able to make the connection as to what assets the enemy team has or unable to remember to check the map viewer. You deserve to suffer.

Would make sense if assets were randomized. R/n, it just gives an edge to experienced players, for absolutely no reason.

If it's a quick change, I'm up for it.

Or you know, since having to check map gallery while in game doesn't add much in terms of gameplay, remove that need?

No reason to hide enemy assets, as those who care will just check map gallery.

Spandrel and SPG techie share the same icon as an anti tank vehicle, but they are nothing alike.
There is no point in hiding information that's easily available on the official game page.

Exactly this, it's just an inconvenience for those that care.
