Whats up people.
I'm new here, and to modelling (kinda). I'm new to 3DS but have a few months of experience with Maya.
I've got the basic silhouette of the model I'm doing atm (a WW2 era building), but need to add the fenestration and detail.
Is there a set height for a sill? I.e. what height does the players view stand when they are crouched? I want it to be ideal so a crouched player can still easily see and shoot out a window when crouched.
For stairs, is there an ideal riser height? I know some games players can get stuck on stairs.
Objects: Is there a catalogue we use for doors, windows etc? Would help speed stuff up.
I will update this post with my progress as I go, asking questions etc. This is my first time modeling for a game, so I'll probably have questions in relation to how to make it game ready.
