anything new/planned for PR?
Hello there, I was curious about the possibility of there being any new factions...somebody said Poland was mentioned but I am just curious how development is going and if you are comfortable talking about it. Keep up the good work love this game!

Re: anything new/planned for PR?
I was watching this FH2 video and realized the doors can be opened/closed...

Do we have something similar in PR?
PS: Also realized that places with no doors have the doors on the ground to simulate them being taken down before... which is great for immersion if you ask me.
PS2: This is the exact moment of the doors: https://youtu.be/FMDJIs_RJHo?t=1078 (copy and paste link)

Poland is not planned. Poland is being developed.LEGIYA wrote:If Poland is planned thats just dumb.

The problem with BluFor free-for-all is that it doesn't fit thematically with the mod. As much as it would be interesting to maybe put these against each other in a "training scenario" I don't see a whole lot of support for this from the few people who create maps. And even IF someone does such a map it's questionable whether or not it will be included in the mod. If not, that'd be colossal amounts of time wasted, even if it's "just" a 2km.Yeah like germany vs poland.
VTRaptor: but i only stopped for less than 10 secs and that fucking awesome dude put 2 of them

Just_Dave: i have a list about PR players, and they r categorized by their skill

AlonTavor: Is that a German trying to make me concentrate?

What is missing from the mod and is easy to implement is a US vs Russia desert map. It could be Khami alt or Kashan alt. The russian desert camo is beautifully textured and sadly it's only used for IDF maps.

PR could use another good opfor faction with decent equipment. Right now China, MEC and Russia are the only 3 decent options as opfor faction. Choosing any of the other opfor factions will make the map quite unbalanced and therefore less fun to play.
A militia 2.0 with scopes would definitely be a good idea...

What happened with the Polish and the Finnish? There was a lot of good progress being made on those a while ago, where they shelved forever or still in the works?

I dont want to be that guy who wants its own country to be in the game but NATO bombing Serbia in the 1999 thing.[R-DEV]Mr.VdHeide wrote:PR could use another good opfor faction with decent equipment. I dont know much but i know a couple of Apache was taken down by Serbian forces etc.
Maybe new opfor faction for Europian scenario could be Serbia if someone has time for it.
It can replace Russia but to be real it wont make much of an difference.
Mig-29 vs F-16/18 , Yugoslav AKs its kinda like Russia idk...
It will be realistic, it wont be anything new.
Yeah this is a bad idea...

Re: anything new/planned for PR?
Problem is that there aren't a whole lot of choices for infantry rifles. G36E(with 1.5x magnification) would come to mind, but other than that?[R-DEV]Mr.VdHeide wrote:A militia 2.0 with scopes would definitely be a good idea...
The fact that the Russians themselves are only now starting to see the connection between seeing your target and the probabilities of actually hitting it rules out the AK family for an upgraded militia weaponry.
M4 and M16 are mostly shipped abroad without the ACOG.
Famas, L85 aren't really used by anyone outside their own militaries. Plus they also are more prominent without scopes(?).
HK416 is too new.
G3 is already in use with MEC.
Maybe AUG with 1.5x magnification?

Re: anything new/planned for PR?
There were occurrences where the Free Syrian Army used the Steyr AUG but I'd love to just see a fresh new proper OpFor faction instead of another Militia.

Re: anything new/planned for PR?
What about Turkey as potential OPFOR? With all the shit going down who knows if they end up getting kicked from NATO? They're practically the only country that has fairly modern stuff that's not a western country. Plus it would make an interesting faction since their vehicles are so diverse, they use both the BTR80 & AAV for instance. Gun wise they have G3s, HK33s, M4s and their new MPT-76[R-DEV]Mr.VdHeide wrote:PR could use another good opfor faction with decent equipment.

I actually like this. Conversely you could also do a historical version once WW2 comes online.NP Hanniballektor wrote:what about NK VS SK? have it be an island off the coast of the korean peninsula? *thinking* south korea uses the K2 rifle and NK uses the type 58 make the alt china vs USMC or something
