I was thinking of trying this, got some positive feed back on how it improves PR’s graphics.
I downloaded it GEM0.64 but have no idea how to install it.
Could someone give me step by step installation ? I mean STEP BY STEP,
Thx in advance .

Re: Graphic enchancement mod
1. Move the .zip file to C:/Program Files (x86)/Project Reality/Project Reality BF2/ and extract. Move the files outside of the extracted folder to the directory.
Keep the .zip file so you can use the file list as a reference when deleting as there's no uninstaller.
2. Run the game.
To uninstall, simply remove those files.

Re: Graphic enhancement mod
I never tested the 1st modification listed.
I unofficially tested the 2nd mod. In the default configuration, I liked some of the color differences but I thought some white sections were too bright and they actually limited my original, standard field of view in some instances. This mod also affected my game performance slightly negatively. I toggle this mod off every time before I play now.
What are the developers thoughts on these modifications? Can either of these, or something similar, potentially be integrated into the official game? In it's current state, I wouldn't recommend the 2nd based on my evaluation but I could cozy up to a more optimized version if that's a possibility.

Re: Graphic enhancement mod
Our intention has always been to leave it up to the player - we don't want to force anyone to have any graphic enhancements and just have them choose which ones they prefer based on their taste.HOLLYWOODY wrote: What are the developers thoughts on these modifications? Also it may make colors in-game different to what is originally intended during QA testing which makes feedback on textures, effects etc difficult.

Re: Graphic enhancement mod
Why wouldn't we want to force players to have "enhancements"?
If some form became standard because it was better then there wouldn't be any differences for testers either. Am I missing something?

Re: Graphic enhancement mod
Because it is not an enhancement. IMO it looks far worse than without it and I wouldn't use it. I would hate to be forced to play with cheesy image effects. I like PR's (BF2's) unique colors and shaders.

Re: Graphic enhancement mod
I agree that the mods can be improved. I just thought maybe there was a consensus regarding one mod specifically or concepts from any of them that can improve PR overall and thus be implemented into the official game. Our goal should be one download for the best PR experience.
