How would one get into creating a new faction?

Hello
I am very interested in creating a new faction in PR using assets already in PR with possible addition of others. How would one go about getting into this? I have no other game design/coding experience.

Hello. The pr team encourages people contributing to the mod. I suggest you take a look at this forum PR:BF2 Community Factions - Project Reality Forums . Read the tutorials and start modding yourself. PR devs will be happy to give you advice and guide you, but don't expect much help as they are also quite busy. You should also be prepared to face a steep learning curve, and invest a lot of hours before you create something of high quality that can be implemented in to the mod. Most people who start modding never see their work featured and abandon their projects, so don't give up.

Faction consists of:
1. 2x maps. That's a requirement for every new unique faction. You map pass with rest of stuff being copycats or placeholders, but you need to make maps.
2. Objects. That's mean everything that's being unique to your faction. Weapons set, kits, couple of vehicles.
2a. Dont forget about sounds ;)

It's a not a 1-man job(i believe very few humans in bf history could and would do everything by themself), so get a friend, close him in basement with shitty pc(so he'll optimize stuff), and do something by yourself aswell :p

Unfortunately I dont have a slave in my basement but I do have some friends that re willing to help. My question is if new maps were created is their a higher demand for INS or AAS maps?

I was thinking about the easy solution, a NATO force with all the weapons and vehicles combined from the nations that already exist in the game (USA,United Kingdom,France,Canada,Netherlands,Germany,Poland) we just need a new uniform and ofc 2 brand new maps .

NATO vs RUSSIA
NATO vs CHINA
NATO vs ISIS

What do you guys think? Is it possible?

P.S: PR is the best free mode ever made . Thank you devs .
