New fonts
I like the new fonts, they mostly look good. But there are some issues.
- u and v looks very similar, I'm not sure why the v isn't just two lines instead of just an opposite u.
- The Ø to indicate numbers makes little sense it feels like. Right now it is used for the tickets where we know there won't be any letters, while it isn't used in the texts where there can be letters and numbers such as flag names.
-Did æøå get disabled, or were they always?
-Is the text brighter than it used to? It feels like it takes more attention than it used to, but maybe just because it is new.
- The mumble speech icons could maybe be toned down a little? It seems a little unnecessarily big and bright.

Re: New fonts
I think the amount of tickets should be in bold, it looks too thin - especially when it's <100.

Is this in reference to the chat font?Filamu wrote:I like the new fonts, they mostly look good. But there are some issues.

I can look into more consistency in the slashed zero usage.- The Ø to indicate numbers makes little sense it feels like. Right now it is used for the tickets where we know there won't be any letters, while it isn't used in the texts where there can be letters and numbers such as flag names.
Which font(s) is this in reference to? I may have missed some special characters in some places.-Did æøå get disabled, or were they always?
Yeah I had some concerns about that, they do show up brighter than before.-Is the text brighter than it used to? It feels like it takes more attention than it used to, but maybe just because it is new.

I think the tickets font is using a different font than it should be right now, its supposed to look the same as the chat and timer. I don't think its possible to change it to bold depending on the ticket count.saXoni wrote:I think the amount of tickets should be in bold, it looks too thin - especially when it's <100.

Yes, u and v in normal chat is very similar.
Anything but A-Z has been disabled since one of the earlier BF2 patches, it's nothing related to this afaik.

Re: New fonts
Maybe just have the ticket font in bold the whole time if there is space? Doesn't matter much, you do get used to it.
But maybe tweak the brightness down a little?
For the chat font I noticed that the ... has some disturbances around them, not sure how to explain it, but they seemed to take up more space than usual if written like ................................... in chat. Maybe how it was before too, not sure.
Other than that I really like them. It actually gives a new and nice feel to playing the game. Makes the mod feel surprisingly new.

Re: New fonts
I like the new font. Crispier and brighter. It doesn't bother me. But I could see why some would want to tone it down.
Was the old font like this? On some occasions the text goes into each other. I don't think this is a font problem per se. But something is off here.

EDIT: what i also mean with the images is that the whole text seems slightly lower?

TBob, can something be done with the vertical separation between sentences? They are a little too bunched up r/n

Re: New fonts
Yeah those lines were overlapping a bit in the original too. The issue is that the same font that is used there is also used as for the server list and many other places for the main menu text, to get it to not overlap it would mean making that text significantly smaller which I liked even less. The real fix would be going in and editing the flash menu which is a whole other can of worms.sweedensniiperr wrote:I like the new font. Crispier and brighter. It doesn't bother me. The vertical alignment in the second image is an easy fix.
Are you referring to something different or is this the same issue as above?agus92 wrote:TBob, can something be done with the vertical separation between sentences? They are a little too bunched up r/n
