Shutdown COOP servers?
There is always around 20players on those useless coop servers when real servers are empty. Closing them would result in faster seeding and those players could actually learn something for real.

People who play coop play coop because they want to play coop. If it is removed, they won't switch over to deployment, they will find another game to play.

Fixed for 'yaThere is always around 50players on those useless insurgency servers when real servers are empty. Closing them would result in a better experience and those players could actually learn something for real.

Dont question the wikipedia! Just because it reports different things on different languages does not make it unreliable source!

They are just like outlawz. Most of them have no mic and barely learn to teamwork. Of course there are exceptions, but that's what they're called.
I also noticed poor server performance on COOP servers, not only due to the AI but features also work differently (sp kits, sp vehicles, etc.).
Current coop servers are not a training field for future online players, you don't learn anything there except minding your own business in your one man locked squad.

INS was a great gamemode to promote this game, but its done its time. AAS will always remain PR's unique spirit.[R-DEV]UTurista wrote:Fixed for 'ya

Re: Shutdown COOP servers?
Hello winject, I am a VG member. We host the most popular COOP server for many years now.
First of all thank you for your criticism. We will consider a halt of our our game service (stopping the server and cancelling the contract he have with the hoster in Germany). Next thing on the list is cancelling our domain where we have a active forum with a couple of thousand registered members. Usually we organize COOP events with custom maps on there or provide banned players with a platform where they can make unban-posts. But no server means we don't need that right? We will probably move our internal communication to a different, more populated Team Speak server because we could also seed that one.
For me this change you promoted will be quite a relief. You know in the past four years I was online almost every day to moderate the server. I always resigned lone man squads, locked squads (under 4 players), warned asset wasters, kicked teamkillers and in some cases even banned some.
I am glad it will stop now. With my now future free time I can focus more on the most important thing in life: Seeding on Fallujah AAS.
I will be in touch with other COOP server administrators.

Re: Shutdown COOP servers?
You really want the coop crowd in normal servers?
