bazisvirtualcd error!!!!!!!!!!!!

Double click the project reality installer...

"Cannot connect to bazisvirtualcd.sys"

I tried updating drivers, ran a full scan for threats, ran a scan offline...
used cmd prompt to check for missing files.
Couldnt find bazisvirtualcd.sys in files, but could find baziscirtualcdBUS files.
Tried system restore, but it said my antivirus was interfering with it, turned off windows defender, still wouldnt restore.

When i right click on the installer, explorer crashes and restarts.

when i right or left click on any other compressed file, it works like a charm.

I dragged the installer to recycle bin and redownlaoded the torrent...same deal, it crashes explorer or gives me the above error.


I need to reinstall project reality becuase the launcher is bugged and disconnects mumble and bugs my compas.

SO IM OUT OF IDEAS!!!


IS it possible the torrent is corrupted on the server side end?

If you used a torrent client its impossible for the resulting torrent to be corrupted, each downloaded part is checksummed

I don't know what the hell is "Bazis Virtual CD" but it looks like some shity 3rd party virtual CD software that I would never put on my system. Get rid of it. Just use 7zip/winrar/anything to unzip the .iso to a folder and install from there.

Just use the default windows 10 (I assume you're on 10?) "mount" option when right clicking the ISO. Just installed PR yesterday on my new machine and it worked flawlessly.

If you're not on windows 10... maybe a different virtual cd drive software would be advised?

It sounds like you've screwed the pooch pretty bad on your windows install... maybe it's that time of year for a bit of "spring cleaning" aka a nice fresh windows install
