Map Pack support in the launcher

Post by mectus11 »

Map pack support would nice to have with all the map packs we have that remain unused or not easy to find for the regular player.

I suggest adding a section in the launcher for "map packs", whether it is for official map packs or even for user created ones it's up to the developers to decide that.

Once you click on the map packs menu, this should pop up, like the other menus a window showing the map packs in tabs and giving some information on them. As well as a download button that will automatically download and install the map pack for the player and a more information button that takes them to the forum thread of that map pack.

That's pretty much it.

No one to work on it

Map pack support sounds awesome. I would also like to see a server browser on the launcher. Would help a lot since the in game browser make the game freeze a lot.

This definitely needs to happen, I've always wanted to have public coop on Karkand.
