Spike ATGM flying straight
Recently I was playing HAT, and could not hit anything with a Spike - just saw the missile flying straight instead flying upwards a bit, and when it hits something it didn't explode - just stays there (in a quite close range, though like 50-100m). Maybe it was lag related.

As I recon, the feature is that the missile should fly upwards at first, not straight.FFG wrote:Its a feature

You recon wrong.
Many of these HAT missile systems have more than one mode, and only one of them causes an upflight for a top-down aspect strike on the target. Just imagine that mode is not the current mode in PR when it does that to you, flying straight
And if you want more detailed operation of complex weaponry, remember that PR is not ARMA. But PR is still awesome!

Theres a top down attack mode and a Direct fire mode. Both of which have a 2 stage launching mode in which a small kick launches the missile out of the launcher for operator safety and then the second stage rocket motor kicks in and either takes the missile vertically for TDA or DA mode.mebel wrote:As I recon, the feature is that the missile should fly upwards at first, not straight.
