Wasn't server license introduced for that specific reason? There were alot of servers in recent years that were just so bad in terms of administration that playing there was absolutely not fun but no one in posesion of means to intervene didn't seem to mind. Original F|H crew had decency to shut down their server(despite the fact that it was full on daily basis - which still many people consider a quality factor today...) due to extremely bad reputation brought upon them by people who run SSG today.

I've personally had to take a 2 month break of this game because there was either no server or shit server.

@Server Owners, get your sh*t together as if you keep on going like this, there will be no one to play on your servers but your admins.
Trouble is with the whole hacking & griefing affair as of late admins likely don't want to take chances, at least on PRTA. (not affiliated)

Yes true, I asked my mater on Teamspeak if he could politely ask the guy that Banned me for the reason of this and if he could unban me (maybe it was a mistake) he got the answer "I don´t give a fuck". Ok, thank you PRTA !

I think PRTA is not as good either.

Only =HOG= , PRTA and SSG are filling well. Sometimes you have the Brazil server around 60 players and the Russian Reality. If you would revoke that license of the "Bad controlled" Servers, some other not so known Server would maybe get a chance.

But how often is that happening? You might get one or two of the Guys on your Server spamming Download Free Hack here, then they get Banned and you have silence for the next hours. Just because you have 30 Kills while being the Gunner in the Apache you get Mic checked in the best case, but as you saw in my case: Instant perma Ban.

'[KSK wrote:S1C3;2194699']But how often is that happening?
We ban a lot of people every day due to cheating/griefing. You would be surprised. With such high numbers, mistakes are unavoidable.
'[KSK wrote:S1C3;2194699']then they get Banned and you have silence for the next hours
Not really. They are able to return 10 minutes later, with different nick, IP and hash. The only way to prevent them from joining the server is turning on 'hard whitelist', which prevents everyone with new hash from joining the server - so not only cheaters, but new players as well.
'[KSK wrote:S1C3;2194699']I saw my Gunner got Banned with the reason "Bye".
This reason is used by some of our admins to ban people suspected of being a part of the cheaters group.

Because, as I said, we ban a lot of people with such suspicion, we are not able to investigate everyone to be 100% sure (not to say that it's impossible to be 100% sure since they change their nicks, IPs and hashes --> which are the only ways to identify them).
If our staff made a mistake, I'd like to fix it. But I need your help.

I will launch an investigation regarding a possibility of an admin abuse, but I need more informations. Would like to change your mind and send me your nicks (here or PM)?

We do our best to keep PR alive. Our activity is not limited to the PR server itself. We host events (manhunt, onelife), we even provide an alternative for PR Tournament since it did not started last year. I personally do whatever is possible to keep PRTA admin staff as community-friendly as possible. Also, I'd like to change your mind about PRTA. Perhaps you would like to help me make the PRTA staff better?

I am going by the same Name like in the Forum here.
I did not play for a long time but decided to play again some days ago.

And this was not the old Project Reality I´ve seen.
Perhaps you would like to help me make the PRTA staff better?
Was that an official invite to become a PRTA Staff on the Server?

EDIT: Did you just unban me? I can join the Server again.

I'm sure Super would like to know if his admins had been banning people for no reason?

People complain about server administration and quality but refuse to provide useful feedback.

A lot of people do provide feedback but also refuse to volunteer their time to help provide quality administration.

I don't understand it.

I don’t waste my time doing their Job. Is he only doing stuff when someone complains?
He has to check the Ban Logs and if there is a reason for the Ban if he is not playing.
That’s what I did as Server Admin and it was going fine.
If your own Staff does whatever it wants, you are a bad leader. They don’t respect you and so they don’t care if you say something to them. I’ve seen 14 year old Seeders on PRTA now.

And Super?

Well thank you

HOG admins have always been of dubious quality in terms of kicking/banning players, unfortunately. I don't know who admins anymore, but historically from what I've seen, they've been the worst in PR for this. Thank God Jevski is gone, he was unbearable.

AnonymousPerson wrote: This is where I ask myself, where the hell did those 10'000 unique players go :confused :? Unless you are talking about merged web and game statistics, I can't get the picture.
It's the same with a lot of online games, people just move on with their lives or to the next big thing, a lot of people stopped playing PR when Squad came out for example, clans moved on, stopped playing the game entirely and slowly dissolved.

People also move on with their lives, a few people I used to play with either moved on to other games or have families of their own now or have time demanding jobs and can only play once a month.

Personally I've started feeling the fatigue from this game/community due to a lot of the drama and toxicity that has been going around lately. I highly doubt I'll stick around for another year after 1.6 comes out.

At some point, playing a game for so long burns you out from it and you start looking for something else/another genre.

I remember 5 years ago, I was talking to this bloke named Dr2bRudd. He said "The game has at most 6 months left".

It will live another 5 years, and then some. And then another 5 years. Players come and go, the only thing we need is marketing, and someone to focus on that.

Can I ask everyone to use the feedback forum for server related things?

Keeps things more organised :)

One last thing to clear this up.

this [KSK]S1C3 guy who's making this posts here has 3 accounts on HOG server with 3 different hashes but the exact same IP all made at one day. The fact his forum account here is from 2009 should not confuse you to see that he just wants to make some trouble and does not even answering to the questions on his ban appeal.

Make up your own mind...

I talked with the Polish guy via PM about the Ban, you are one of the Rude Admins that says „fuck you“ to people. Grow up and stop this false arguments here.

What Mineral is talking about is "unique players over a period of a month", not how many players are on, just on a Saturday morning at around 11am GMT...

If you don't know, this "unique players over a period of a month" is every individual playing PR over the course of that month, and if the same player plays even 10 times in that month, they are still only counted as 1 unique player because that is what they are.

TBH this is pretty damn impressive for a game older than a sizable portion of its player base.

I have played PR on and off since the beginning and I just picked it up again and it is still a lot of fun.
Maybe this question deserves a new thread: How do we get new players to keep playing PR?

New players trying PR for the first time might get a brutal experience. They will get shouted at, kicked from squads and maybe even temp banned for doing something wrong.
Some will probably uninstall after their first try, but this doesnt mean they are bad players they just need to learn the basics.

We need more good squad leaders that will take new players under their wing.
Have a bit more patience and try and find out if a player is new before kicking from squad.

What you think will something change with putting PR on Steam community, as I free to play game or for money however devs want.

You know that can't happen right? It's been discussed dozens of times before.
