CTD loading EJOD Desert

Title says it all guys, all maps on PR seem to work fine for me (aside the usual lag), but I just tried connecting to the .:iGi:. server, which is currently running EJOD Desert, and yeah...

After it loaded, I clicked on the "Join Game" button, and BF2 shuts down alltogether & I get NO error messages whatsover. This has happened to me twice in a row just now...

EDIT: Yep, just happened a 3rd time now...

You have to change your environment settings to medium.

From high or low?

All my settings are currently on lowest (or off)...

EDIT: OK cheers, can't believe I never came accross this before... Well my PC sucks just too much to increase any settings, I guess I won't be playing that map then.

As I recall it, Thomazz was working on fixing that problem... Haven't seen him around in a while though....

Same problem here. have everything on low or off. Visibility is on 80% i think.

open PR in wndowed mode, make a local server, run the map, at the end of the loading procress (when it crashes) you should get a error message. Read the message then figure out the rest!!! lol

I get the same problem to and its only on EJOD desert. All my settings are on low basically so i cant think why it crashes out

No, you didn't read it properly. The fact you have everything on low IS THE REASON it crashes out on you.

Turn terrain to medium and it'll stop crashing. At the cost of a few less fps though, personally I hate the map anyway...
