i just got finished playing, and i know have every basic combat award for each class.... i would be saying this to be proud... but if im an eng and i fly a plane and kill X amont of people in the plane, i get the eng combat award...???, instead of all kills while in a plane going towards aviator kills. i also got support basic combat... but i sat behind my group playing as commander rarely seeing combat. so, their ranked system has some flaws, but all my awards look shiny =)

ive barely been able to get on ranked servers where i can play lag free or just servers that have space to play on, so my list of badges (i dont even have medals yet!) is very pathetic :o ops:

i have basic spec ops....x2 i guess?
and basic helicopter.... for landing on a helipad... that was a nail biter let me tell you

I feel your pain  .....half of my time has been wasted sitting here waiting for a ranked server to pop out and then clicking like a mad-man to get in.....

As for a helicopter badge ...HA i wouldn't even go near one with the lag that's going around

but the lag is TERRIBLE......they need more server's STAT.

the lag is horrible, i have now recieved a second basic helicopter badge, this leaves me wondering what the point of getting badges is, obviously bragging rights but getting multiples is just stupid.

I know we're all talking about favorite classes and now awards, but I have to salute EA for including squads and a commander in BF2. I think most of us here are team players and that's why you hear so many guys chosing which ever class their squad has nead of. I'm definately seeing fewer loan wolves. You know the guys that will drive off with an APC and leave three or four team mates to hoof it to the next control point.

A special salute to those of you that don't leave your team in the dust :)

I play Special Ops most of the time i like the C4. But i tend to play what ever the squard is needing at that moment. Im really into armor and helis. Had some really good battle gunning with some really skilled pilots. that was a lot of fun :D I hate it when people dont know how to line up for max effect on a target. :)

I do wish that the bradley had a tow instead of a surface to air missle.. what is that all about?

Yeah! I agree, I loved the TOW missles from POE.

I always thought being a gunner was dumb and pointless.... until i was playing and someone actually went a speed and angle, and i took out 3 vehicles with the tv guided missles, it felt damn good!

lately i have been playing medic, i unlocked the weapon and have lots of fun with it, its about as accurate as the spec ops weapons. and i love diving from bullets as i rush to rescue the SL =D

i love being the gunner, it took me a while to figure out the tv missiles, i would never click and would end up just going strait. but really, i think it rivals flying... when you have a good pilot. still, ill never give up being a pilot, and thats great when you have a good gunner

ir0nside wrote:Sniper mainly, because so few people out there know what they are doing with it. It's not about the kills, it's about slowing the enemy down, causing fear and confusion, and giving information from vantage points on the enemy for a long period of time without dying often.

The kills are secondary.

If I pop someone in a stinger-turret with a round, he will run out of the turret. I can do that from across the map - that is power. I just saved any vehicles or helicopters in the vicinity from possible death with one click. I can keep people running around and looking for cover, or trying to find me.

I can cause people to come after me physically in frustration and anger, only to die to claymores.. possible causing them to bring a friend, or use a valuable helicopter, or an airstrike on me.

That is power.

My secondary roles are varied.. I am hoping that the support role will get greater accuracy when prone, as a lot of people like being medics, but fewer people ever have ammo to give out, so I'd like to fill that niche.. and also being able to cover an area with suppressing, rapid fire.

i like this guy ^^ well my name says it all and also support i like the heavy gunner thing and ammo giving
