Try to completely uninstall .NET and install it again. Its missing something that should be there.

I have the same error and log file since DLing and installing 1.6, running Win7. Previous versions of PR worked fine, other games are still working.

Re: Failed to start PR from client
Been having the same problem too, cant get past the login screen.
I am aware of another post like this, by John Doe, in which he overcame the problem by running the program as admin, however, I have tried this myself and unfortunately, it hasn't worked.
Log says as follows:
PRLauncher.exe started at: 2020-05-01T08:58:34
Critical Error: An unhandled exception has occured. Details are as follows:
The system cannot find the file specified
Further details can be found in the following file:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2\mods\pr\bin\PRLauncher.log
Please report this error to the Project Reality Team, and include the log file in your report.

Re: Failed to start PR from client
I don't know whether this helps or not, but I ran the executable as admin, not the link.
As far as I understood the problem, the PR launcher needs to open a web browser (in my case it was Microsoft Edge, so I guess this browser served a purpose for once) and I guess if you are not admin open the browser from the application might give you trouble.

Re: Failed to start PR from client
Is there any other tried and tested method to solve this problem, because I tried running the launcher as admin many times, and yet the problem still persists. There is no evident browser launch either.
