Cannot create/retrieve an account

Hey,


after recently having the PR installed on my new laptop, I wanted to retrieve my account and I can't. After entering credentials, the launcher apparently is trying to do sth but after ~30 seconds I get the following error:

1004: Error connecting to server. (10060)

What might be the cause? How to fix it? I've tried turning the firewall off but it did not work.

We have a patch, just check for it with the little arrow next to PLAY.

I'm having the same problem. I get to the new intro screen then click update and it says I have the lastest version . I see my account name in the manage profile section but it wont allow me to select it. Also when I go to surrport and click on my Hash # it only shows 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Yep, the reason was I had 1.5 installed. Without logging in prior to the release of 1.6, I was unable to update via the launcher.

All is working now.

ya that was offline,
I click on the PR icon , pop up the new log in window ,I click "sign in through steam" opens up the broswer to the steam log in screen. I click sign in and it says 'BF2 is already running you may only run one copy at a time.

is this the proper path for the target line?

No, when prompted to open the prlauncher-login URL, it needs to be opened with this:
"C:\Games\Project Reality BF2\mods\pr\bin\PRLauncherLogin.exe"

That should be the default option

Hi. First of all, love the game, love the new update. But I seem to have a problem with my account.
After I updated the game, I did the "log in on Steam" thing then proceeded to retrieve my account (IGN "ShyType") which I played for about a month now. So after the game launched, I jumped in a server and started to play, everything was okay except for mumble (Icons of people talking was not appearing). So I asked some guys to what should I do, they told me to restart Mumble, which I did (did not fix anything). So then I proceeded to restart my PC. After that, I launched the game again, logged in... but now, I can't join any servers. It keeps telling me that my Account Level is too low. So I did some reading and it told me to "calculate" my account on the Support Tab to somewhat verify it on Steam, which I did. but it's telling me that my Account Level is still 0 (zero). And that's my problem, I can't join any servers anymore.
I'm sorry if this is too long, or if this is the wrong thread, I'm new to this and I don't know how to start a new thread. I hope you guys can help me.

You probably joined a server (SSG maybe) that doesn't require PR account level of 1 or 2, and you tried to join other servers, when you restarted your PC, they require higher account levels.

We base it on things like bought games on Steam from the steam store. If you have no games on your Steam account or only free-to-play games it is likely you will have 0. Please contact the servers you wish to play on and ask for being put on their whitelist.

Yeah, I've read about that too, and unfortunately I can only play free-to-play games. I was expecting the "calculate" thing would see my hours played even if it was free-to-play games. Anyway, I don't know how to ask servers to whitelist me. Can you tell me how?

Find their website , usually in the server name or something like that or find threads on them here. Then go to their website, and ask them to add you.

The thing is, create / retrieve account is the first thing for me to pop up after starting PR launcher, therefore I cant update via the main screen, since it doesnt pop up as first for me. Any idea before I just download the whole game again ?

Delete the Project Reality folder in my documents
