So what if there is a tank near our back base.

How can we get tanker kit to use the tank.

hehe .. well .. it's a little wiggy right now, but we're working on smoothing that out. If we can get the current implementation polished up, I am pretty sure we can expand on the concept quite significantly.

Don't think I understand.. but if what you are saying is:
- there's a tank abandoned on the battlefield
- how do you recover the tank?

.. you grab a tanker kit from a location where friendly tanks spawn then head out to where the tank is abandoned and take control of the tank.

Egg, for those that were asking...

Will you be able to pick up a dead pilot/tanker's kit and drive the american vehicles?

Personally, I hope not since kits are not the matrix.. they do not download knowledge into you.. only give you their tools. (Unless they just happened to carry an operator's manual with them everywhere hehe)

but yeah.. that's their question.

a US Tanker will not be able to operate an MEC tank, even if they "steal" an MEC tanker kit.

Hi.

Regarding the SL/Officer kit. Any possibility to only make it available when you have 3 or more in a squad? Now that would stop the 1 man "quickly lock it" squad and issued officer kit.

minimum squad members required to request officer kit: 4

minimum squad members required to request Heavy AT, AA & Support kits: 3

minimum squad members required to request sniper kit: 2

of course this info is just tenative, etc

Does the tanker kit get a wrench as well?

Will choppers and jets also have vehicle damage to specific parts? Would be interesting to have a jet's guns knocked out or a blackhawk's rotors disabled. Those with a chute could bail but those without would have to ride the chopper down.

Right now the plan is that the Tanker will carry a wrench that will only work on vehicles and repair at a very slow rate (so "in combat" repairs will not be possible) but if they can disengage from a battle and find safety they will be able to perform repairs, but it will take a long time.

Will the commander still be able to request kits on his own, or will he be forced into the Officer kit? Sorry if this has already been answered, but god damn I can't count how many times I see a sniper kit being used by a commander at our home base flag with no enemy around.

yea kenwayy that is always annoying....

IMO the commander should not be able to have access to any limited kits besides officer...

the commander should be commanding, not plinking at targets with sniper or tank hunting with heavy at....

Something that I seems like fun is to put on the sniper kit and search down the officers and take them out. By giving the officers a special kit you really gives the snipers a new mission in the game that also make the sniper more of at teamplayer than before.
