Whatever happened to the .2 hummer Exit ?

PRM .2 Hummer Exit

If i remember correctly, in PRMM-0.2 There was this sweet animation of a soldier climbing out of the back of a hummer (it was in the PRMM 0.2 trailer, which i couldnt find btw :( )

What happened to it ? It was never released :( after i saw that trailer i was looking forward to it. But when i got the .2 download i tried it and to my horror it didnt work :( I forgot to mention this. Will we be seeing this sometime soon ? or did you guys get it to work but was very buggy and you had to scrap it ?

omg, the guy on the film wasn't even sitting in the hummer in the first place. If you look at the film you see the guy is just crouched in the back and he "walks" forward off the hummer....

No, are you sure, i deffo saw the hand on the side, then he "hopped" down....

well, if that isnt the case, then are there any plans for realistic exit animations?

P.S. Rhino, can you post the trailer again, i want to see it so i can make sure i wasnt dreaming.

The engine does not support exit and enter animations....so, uh, ya, lay off the crack there buddy. ;)

i know AA has it but can get somewhat annoying after a while, i like it the way it is now :) ...also i think the DEV's can find a better thing to work on than entering and exiting vehicles

there is no option regarding exit and entrance animations. The 0.2 promo vid was done with a guy crouching on the back of the Humvee and slowly shuffling off. Think I have the vid somewhere. If I find it I'll upload it and link it.

Is the bf2 engine custome made ? Because it sucks so bad, we could use my granny for a game engine and it'll work good. Why would EA choose to limit all the best stuff ? God dam the lazy sob's.

Hey its okay skyline when i first saw the video i thought they made enter/exit animations too...

IMO the new promo video should NOT do stuff like this (show stuff that isnt actually in the mod)

and also, if your gonna show first person view in the promo, PLEASE dont get rid of the HUD. Its cheap. I was so excited when I saw .02 and that it was completely HUDless, only to be letdown that in fact, the minimap was still there.

the first person HUD should be totally clean barring the bare mimium of auto,3, single shot icon and a tiny flag counter

If ya don't like the minimap, type renderer.drawHud 0 in the console ;)
(I think that's the right command... if not it's easy enough to find by hitting tab a few times)

Or you could set the transparency to 100%

renderer.drawHud 0 gives you no map at all, minimap and icon transparancy at 100% gives you no CP names on the Caps Lock map.

you dont have any text, any crosshair, any map, etc....

transparency 100%: you dont see CP names, names of players inside vehicles, and other things.

Im just sayin, if your gonna make a promo video show, show what the view is ACTUALLY like, not a HUDless view just because it looks prety. Its false advertising and really puts off alot of people (several of my OFP buddies when they saw that trailer were really excited for no HUD but then when you get in game, big disappointment)

I think when filming, taking screenshots etc you should keep the screen as clean as possible, with just what you are trying to show off in it. if you want to show off the hud thats fine, but I think 1st person shots aint too good normal, unless its down a sniper scope :D

Fuzzhead is right, you should show the big ugly radar in the promo video. To omit the radar would be misleading.
