Why can't we have a server with working replays?

It is so frustrating to see that some major servers, like HOG, don't even feature them at all, and others, such as Gamma Group and SSG, would only seem to provide replays but there is always "error to download" if you select a round you want to replay...
Probably the only server with actually working replays is(was?) PRTA, but people soo rarely play it nowadays I was almost going to write "was".

Like, I was in this intense round when I flanked a whole squad in a grenadier role in Yamalia, and I could have easily knocked 4 or 5 of them, and I was very curious what my course of actions should have been and what should I have done different there, but alas.

If you mean BF demo files or tracker files, last time i checked HOG does save them and they work fine.

If there's a server where it doesn't work, report it. They have to provide them.

Find the replays and trackers on the server websites, not in the ingame browser.

Oh snap! Just found the little replay icon on the VG COOP Server in the PR SPY server browser was not restored after 1.6.... fixed now, will take effect next crash/restart... also not sure what happened to our logo, will chat with the VG PR Admin team.

Also, FYSA we also have link on our website - as Nate said, all servers are required to do so - in our footer on all pages, and under "More" in the top-bar website menu. This is the third term I've heard describing these files now, first was "demo", then "tracker", now I guess also "replay"... Is there a consensus for a preferred term? lol

Battle Recorder / Demo (.bf2demo) and tracker (.prdemo) are two different things.

I am having trouble viewing them when I download from the servers website. I am pretty sure I am posting them in the correct folder, but they are not appearing in the replays in barracks. It should be My Documents > ProjectReality > Profiles > Default > demos right? Or should it be My Documents > ProjectReality > battlerecorderdemo ?

Battle Recorder (BR) files should be in Documents\ProjectReality\Profiles\Default\demos. You play them though main menu ---> barracks.
Tracker files need to be downloaded and launched through this (unless a server offers its own tracker player which plays a tracker right after clicking it, instead of downloading the tracker file).
