Stormer flipperino

Post by PBAsydney »

Stormer likes to do barrel rolls if terrain is not completely flat. Might be worthwhile to increase mass or lower center of gravity on the model or something.

Can you also have a look at the land rovers? Would be nice with a fix to the "ice-skating/drifting" effect when driving fast.

Leave drifting land rovers alone, it's good time killer when you are waiting for assets to spawn :)

Also the most effective way of clearing the bushes on Vadso. I call it the vadso drift.

Which map did you experience this bug on?
Trying to replicate it on Burning Sands Std.

Also shouldn't this be in the bug report section?

Not really a bug, more of a physics tweak.

Like Coalz said, Burning is too flat. Try Hades or Shijia. This thing flips easier than a BTR60.

Was able to reproduce it, I think. It flips to the left at a big angle when trying to cross the hill outside GB Base on a steep incline when you get decent speed downwards.

Setting spring settings to all use setStrength of 25 and setDamping of 3 makes a little difference but from testing further, it makes it go up the hill quicker and hitting a tree when going downhill at a reasonable speed will flip it over compared to default.

Edit: When climbing the hill in H8 KP 3 North to 6, it definitely flips over (With the above settings).

Just use center of mass offset

I am still not sure if this is a bug or a feature. The vehicle does not look like it would be able to climb hills very well in r/l.

Test it to make sure it works.

It's all tested and it works, did a test with and without wheel modification and the mass offset works because a small vehicle would tend to be prone to flips in-game so the weight distribution/mass offset needs to be set under height to prevent it swinging around when going down hills.

Still an issue in current patch, still flips easily and now it handles worse.
